Another gunman, another elementary school

Anonymous

Reports coming out that the police waited outside the school for over an hour while the shooter was inside. Kids were bleeding out while they were too much of cowards to help. Despicable. They should all be fired. Cops are not the answer!

How did he gets machined gun?

I heard he bought the gun at a store. But how did he enter the school was the question I asked - was it not locked? Our public is locked after school starts.

Do you think a locked door is stopping a guy with a machine gun? Jfc.

Yes, I do. For a while at least, maybe he could have been shot by an officer outside. We have locks on our house and office. Locks are a great device for doors. If used.

Of course not. The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun. Duh.

So the teacher was willing to die for her students while the police sat on their asses outside until they felt it was safe.

Let’s all remember this the next time we’re talking about how much funding should go to schools vs police.

They have video of the shooter outside the school, and surprise, no one shot him!

Just in case someone will say we need to arm teachers and put armed officers at schools, get this.

The shooter in Uvalde crashed outside the school, people reported him because he had a gun and cops showed up. They had a shootout outside.

The gunman was not wearing body armour. Once the cops realised they were useless they called a SWAT team. And as they were waiting for SWAT team to arrive the gunman walks inside the school and kills the teachers and kids. It was a 40 minute ordeal.

Mom sounds like a real winner. Now is probably NOT the time to be defending your son.

I thought Texas had many good guys with guns who will protect their people. Where were they?

My very rough high school had security guards, metal detectors, and an on-site gang liaison officer on loan from the local police (more specialized than SROs of today) and a hardened entry lobby. We did have students bring weapons to school but they were always caught due to these safety measures. The only reason my poorly-funded district prioritized safety was because it was a town-based school district, NOT a bumbling, massive blob of a county school district. I am surprised that nothing like this has happened around here with the mental health challenges that DMV students face.

Not having their guns because the school is a no gun zone and they follow the law. Unlike people who want to shoot other people, who do not follow the law.

Keystone kops were too busy standing around outside the school with tactical weapons and ballistic gear brutalizing parents and threatening them with tasers:

Well I'd imagine if the school was in session and unlocked, there will be a huge wrongful death suit due to negligence.

If he stayed outside, he would not be in a classroom killing everyone in it.
