All, I realized that this has been discussed to death, but I was hoping that we could compile a list of what schools are open and what opening actually looks like. My husband and I are looking at PK for our DC and we want to see what schools have made a significant effort to reopen.
In particular, I'd like to know how many days kids are attending in person and which precautions are being taken. Feel free to add schools to the list as I'm sure I missed some. Beauvoir- St. Pat's- NPS- WES- Norwood- Sheridan- Sidwell- GDS- Maret- Lowell- |

| Norwood is open for PK-4 5 days a week, and for 5-8 in person twice a week on a rotating schedule (half on M-W, the other half T-Th, everyone home on Friday). For the lower grades, open looks like small groups (12 or fewer) in each classroom, sitting at individual desks spaced apart, with plexiglass dividers for partner work, maximized time outside for playing and often eating lunch or snack. Children learning at home tie in via computer. Handful of teachers working at home due to health issues tie in via projector and there's a proctor in the classroom. Some specials teachers work in person (again, outside if possible) and others come in via Zoom. So far it's been going great. |
