They spent all summer and early fall talking about how it was a priority to bring back the youngest kids. And then it turned out they couldn't get enough teachers on campus to do it. While the remote learning has been really good, they have only had the kids on campus a few times since September for an hour each time. Not what I expect for $40K.

If you’re a parent at Lowell, you know exactly why those grades are remote. They are doing the best they can. If you’re angry, you can go elsewhere, but why denigrate them on a public board? I get being frustrated, but maybe focus on “remote learning has been really good.” Many places can’t say that, and many more aren’t on campus.

I think if you are putting out there which schools are open, people should know what open means though. People may be making admissions decisions based on how schools have performed this year among other things. I don't think the PP is disparaging Lowell but providing the truth of the circumstances.

I do believe The Heights is the only major school at younger ages to remain open all year. Expect most schools to go back to virtual in the next couple weeks while others like Bullis, Heights, maybe a couple of the Bethesda Girls Schools (GV, HC...) to stay open.

Green Hedges School in Vienna has been open 5 days a week since September and is still open.

In Annapolis some K-8 are open too 5 days a week. I guess there are a couple schools thinking they can remain open through this time period.
