They are keeping everything on the table to try and maximize URM/FARMS attendance

Full Lottery
Hybrid Merit Lottery
Assigning spots from each region and/or each middle school

Whichever model increases URM/FARMS the most will be selected

Well magnets should be taking the top kids, race should have nothing to do with it

He brings up Caltech as an example of no test. He leaves out that nearly all Caltech applicants get a perfect SAT score. It is meaningless for their applicants. Completely different from a group of kids that can’t even pass an easy first round set of tests.

He did not apologize or address the very valid comment that Brabrand has made very hurtful attacks on TJ students and parents. He is superintendent to some kids not al. He needs to go.

He admitted he is a mouthpiece for NAACP and other special interest groups that are driving all of this
