She could have even focused on LA, Toronto...Cities she knows really well since she lived in them, showcased local chefs and small restaurants. Less focus on her would have made her seem more humble.

She has zero talent. She simply married well. Massive mistake to cut off the hand that fed them both, with minimal work expected.

It's not just about talent, I don't think she's very bright. Saying things like broken things are beautiful and can be sealed or whatever, how cringe. She is beautiful and I belive the best dressed woman on the global stage, but she made a big mistake striking it out on her own. She doesn't have what it takes (poor Harry absolutely doesn't).

I do think she is bright, but her EQ is lacking. She is articulate when speaking out topics that require a lot of reading and interpretation. She comes across as phony in her show and if she were a great actress she could at least act authentic. She and Harry would have been off living a low key life doing charity work-real charity work and donating to worthy causes without needing to be in the public eye (while pleading for privacy). She wants attention desperately. Nobody cares what her kids look like, but she gives little snippets of the backs of their heads hoping we will be desperate to see them. If she wants to protect them, leave them out completely.

I agree that she is very pretty and dresses well. She could use that to her advantage at charity events.

Both of them need to stay out of politics and do their own good-work without trying to influence others. With the whole California fires, I would have been more impressed if they quietly hosted friends and volunteered without needing to have press there. They did not need to urge people to take in and help friends and family. People do that already and it's patronizing to assume they will only do that if these 2 tell them to.

I think her need for fame (while claiming she detests the attention) and her greed will be her downfall.

She is unintelligent and capable only of reciting platitudes primarily concerning herself in the guise of speaking about broader issues.

Meghan has no talent. I think a lot of her fans here relate to her being a control freak as that specific trait, a weakness of both intellect and character, is increasingly used by people who cannot act in productive ways as a stand-in for the work of life. There is a distinction between connecting with people and speaking in a treacly tone. There is a distinction between loving people and controlling them. There is a distinction between hosting people and caring for people and decanting items into superfluously labeling bags so that your handwriting is showcased. Absurd.

Meghan is not shy; it appears that Catherine was hobbled by shyness and a worry to err for years. Meghan incorrectly thinks that bossing staff around and Dunning-Krugering herself makes her smart or an expert at anything. She’s wrong. The show is a joke.

Nailed it. The show just humiliates and embarrasses Megan and Harry and they’re too dumb (or too money hungry) to see it. It’s a streaming reality show. Kardashians fell off when they had to do a streaming reality show because they were cancelled from broadcast television. And nobody ever accused them of being classy. Harry is a disgrace.

It is embarrassing that she thinks people see her as an entertainment authority. Most people who have these types of shows have published respected cookbooks or appeared on talk shows to present new entertaining ideas. That is the background that makes someone an authority on entertaining.

My mother was huge on entertaining and her favorite was Martha Stewart because Martha always had nice food and presentation. Would Martha put peanut butter pretzels in a bag and call it a delicacy? No, because Martha actually knows cooking and entertaining.

She never said the pretzels in a bag were a delicacy. She was putting together a little basket to put in the guest room for her friend who was staying and said "I know he loves peanut butter pretzels so I'm just gonna put these in a little bag."

You need to get a grip, my friend. You can dislike her without making things up.

Well good for her. She can go to Trader Joe's and put pretzels in a bag. The point is a real cooking and entertaining expert would not do this. Martha would rather die than show pre package foods on her show.

But this brings up another point that the whole conceit of the 'friend" staying with her was fake because it was not even her house, it was rented. And I doubt that Meghan stayed at the rented house and entertained him. Fake, fake, fake.

She said she was making treats for Daniel and bringing them back to her guest cottage where he was staying. She acknowledged over and over again that this wasn't her house. IMO, she shouldnt have said anything bc it is not uncommon to film on a set, but I think she was insecure about it (or wanted us to imagine that her real house is grander, haha).

Okay? I would say Martha can do whatever the hell she wants on her show but she doesn't have one anymore.

Meghan never said she was an expert. She said so repeatedly. Why are you so effing hellbent on making it seem like she's something she repeatedly said she is not?

Right? It's kind of funny to accuse Meghan of being a know-it-all when this person is all over this thread crashing out over the fact Meghan used a paring knife once when she should've used a chef's knife.

DP but I don't think this person is enraged at all. You, on the other hand, responding to a post about "knife skills" multiple times, is kind of weird.

She just knew people would bring up it wasn't her house so she made it a point to say it.

That's why I was disappointed. I was genuinely excited for some new great recipes. I love Martha, Ina, and all the other cooking shows. This was just plain bad- the recipes were all so incredibly basic... I mean she literally walked us through making PB& J sandwiches!

That's easily fixed by surgery.

You think it's no big to put a kid under on anesthesia for eye surgery because you're insecure about his appearance? Surgery is always a big deal.

There was talk that he’s cross-eyed. Of course, who knows the truth. The simplest explanation is often the truth and I think it’s most likely that Meghan is waiting to monetize their appearance. We’ll see a “Keeping Up with the Sussexes” style show in another 15 years.

No way, they would go crawling back to the RF before they would do a reality show. And if Harry's father is still alive, that would probably work.

This is literally a low rent reality show on a streaming platform. It's an embarrassing af money grab. She truly has no shame.

I don’t think anyone’s talking about whether surgery for crossed eyes is or is not a big deal, PP. It’s just funny that Meghan and Harry stunt with showing or not showing their kids. I don’t think there’s a ton of demand; celebrities that preserve privacy completely don’t show back of the head shots and all the rest. YMMV.

That’s killing me too! How is all of their programming so far seen as anything but a reality show?
