If you're into colorblind crap that tries to pretend like systemic racism doesn't still exist. |
MIT tends to follow what’s best for students, they didn’t jump in the TO bandwagon because they realized test scores in conjunction with other metrics are a better predictor of success at MIT. It’s one of the few top school that don’t give preference to legacy students. Kudos to them. I agree with the Supreme Court decision. It’s fine to consider race, but in context, no box checking, no shameful personality scores. |
Some people are realy furious by the decision, they had to summon MLK. |
Your post was obnoxious. Guess what, I actually like the Supreme Court’s decision. I don’t like your shitty attitude minimizing what black people fought for in the civil rights movement that ALL AMERICANS, your kids included, should be grateful for. |
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." MLK's dream is exactly the opposite of the current practice of affirmative action and what liberals are pursuing. |
No question liberals are the true racists. |
Gratefull yes, cerebarate MLK day yes, respect yes. They don't owe anyone anythingn though. |
Right. The many many posters who blamed their kid’s rejection on some AA kid out there will have to face the cruel reality that their kid just did not make the cut. |
I don’t blame you if you can’t understand. Nor do I blame the university where you were educated at. You are on the left portion of the bell curve. |
+1 If anyone owes anything to black people, it's the white people. Now they scapegoated that blame to Asians, who did nothing bad to blacks, while they reap the benefits. |
No, despite historical injustices white people don’t owe anything to black people. That true for any race owing anything to other race. But as a society we need to find way to promote the greater good. Affirmative action tried to do that, but failed. We need to find a better approach and banning affirmative action is good because now we can focus on other ways to support the disadvantaged. |
Ok, let’s all move back to our countries of origin and start over, including whites. This is a sh!tshow. |
The exchange you’re commenting wasn’t about PP “owing” anyone anything FFS. And black people are not in charge of Harvard. You’re the one scapegoating blacks. |
HYPS are better and serve as more of a bellwether. Thousands of colleges TO > MIT |
Nobody owes anybody. It's all good then. Why blame Asians on the Supreme Court decision then? I see a bunch of cowards. |
