Bet those cops feel absolutely terrible. |
I thought he just looked really nervous. |
He ran into the woods without telling anyone. He killed her. If she had died accidentally or of a drug overdose (while he was in Wyoming) he would have gone to police or called someone. If she was fine when he left Wyoming, he wouldn't have run off into the woods with his guilty conscience. |
| This is so sad. I really feel for the police officers that stopped them. I do really think they were doing their best to assess the situation and it can be so difficult because dv victims have been manipulated and made to feel like the problem so deeply that they can be very convincing. And it’s also really hard for even well meaning men not to connect and collude with men who in fact are often abusers as you see the police officers doing in the video multiple times (both talk about their wives or ex wives having anxiety. Anyway they seemed like they cared about their job and were trying to do the best they could and are human like all of us and now I’m sure are feeling guilt about this. It seemed like one of the officers was new on the job and being trained. Ugh. It would be great if men would stop.killing.women. Uggh |
He was shaken. I’m married to an FBI agent. And I train law enforcement every day. 🙁 |
Perhaps. But if any of the lunatic things said on this thread are any indication they probably don't. |
| I think her parents are going to get millions of dollars in a lawsuit settlement from that backwater police department. Dipshit idiot cops. |
The did everything they could possibly do. They took her aside. They were so kind to her. They offered her options. But, they couldn’t force her to stay away from him. I’m sure they are second guessing everything. I feel so bad for them. |
He’s a senior agent - so he’s experienced. Would his demeanor be due to the cause/manner in which she died? Or he really believed they’d find her alive after three weeks? |
Did you watch the police cam footage? He's a deranged liar who exerted control over her, insulted her, and blamed her for everything while she just took it. Okay? He killed her. |
This is a very important question. But America protects this demographic so closely it will likely never be seriously answered. |
I think they read the situation completely wrong, but they did a good job. They are highway patrolmen, not psychiatrists. |
| I knew these were legal adults. But it’s a shame the cops couldn’t call the parents and tell them maybe they want to come get their kid. Clearly both were very immature. |
What should they have done differently? |
What do you think would shake him so much? I obviously myself would be shaken but as a supervisory FBI agent I have to admit I am surprised he would be as he has to have seen plenty of DV cases, bodies etc. This is horribly sad please don’t get me wrong but I am just curious, I agree he seems quite shaken and I really feel for them all and the officers that stopped them that day. |
