I dont know. Someone commented a couple of days ago that they're using it because parents always give their kids birthday and grade in school. Then expect them to say which team they should be on.

Clubs don't usually play kids up for safety and organization reasons. Only for superstars or if the club is tiny and groups 2 years. Doesn't matter what anyone hear thinks or wants.

Yeah, the real one doesn't have grades and includes the whole year, 8/1 - 7/31.

This is the same thing as the 8/1-7/31 on that US Soccer provided. What makes the other one wrong is age guy is trying to say that older players can play down but he doesnt know how to do it mathematically. So hes copying below and changing the details but what he's changing it to is incorrect.

There is no "only superstars play up" clause in league rules.
