You mean your conversation with yourself? Sorry grade exists and when its applied to your 36 month older player playing down nonsese people quickly see why it doesnt make sense. |
Its not outright wrong but this version doesnt cover all potential edge cases. |

Still 100% correct.
This is for next fall when SY starts. 11v11 = U18/U19 = ≤ 8/1/2007 ≈ Senior 11v11 = U17 = ≤ 8/1/2009 ≈ Junior 11v11 = U16 = ≤ 8/1/2010 ≈ Sophmore 11v11 = U15 = ≤ 8/1/2011 ≈ Freshman 11v11 = U14 = ≤ 8/1/2012 ≈ 8th grade 11v11 = U13 = ≤ 8/1/2013 ≈ 7th grade 9v9/11v11 = U12 = ≤ 8/1/2014 ≈ 6th grade 9v9 = U11 = ≤ 8/1/2015 ≈ 5th grade 9v9 = U10 = ≤ 8/1/2016 ≈ 4th grade 7v7 = U9 = ≤ 8/1/2017 ≈ 3rd grade 7v7 = U8 = ≤ 8/1/2018 ≈ 2nd grade 4v4 = U7 = ≤ 8/1/2019 ≈ 1st grade 4v4 = U6 = ≤ 8/1/2020 ≈ Kindergarten Using U14 as an example what this is saying is... 1. They play 11v11 2. Players turn 14 after Aug 1 3. Players are younger than or equal to 8/1/2012 4. Players are most likely in 8th grade |
find a post where somebody wants more than 12 month age group other than you. you've failed this challenge over and over. makes u a hypocrite. |
Its also confusing because you have things that overlap like 7/31 and grade. |
Age guy / mr usys has been trying to start a rumor that leagues will start doing GY showcases for almost a year. High schools allow students to be held back two times. This means 36 month older players (2 years older ie held back twice) in GY. |
well what r the rules grade or dob? dob, right. |
not true, nobody asking for graduation year at showcases. that's your fake boogyman. |
BTW this is also why people are saying 16 year old Freshman and 20 year old Seniors. What usually happens is crazy parents hold their kid back in middle school before attending high school. This gives their kid a potential 36 month advantage over the youngest Freshman. |
I agree that nobody other than age guy is asking for GY schowcases |
League rules list 7/31 but leagues allow playing up. Which means 7/31 is unnecessary and doesnt apply. |

Check your club, see if they have a table like this or a table with garbled signs and grades. You don't have to accept it, but the below is what top clubs use and they limit playing up. Saying a 5 year could play U19 in theory is meaningless when playing up even one age group is reserved for top players.

So does your daughter have to compete with this older kid in their graduation year for college spots or not? You keep saying college recruitment is by graduation year. |
Just because you dont understand math doesnt mean everyone else has to suffer. |
