Framing Britney Spears

The timing of engagement is weird.

She is so stupid. I don't waste any time thinking about her.

Her "music" sucks .

She's a troubled person. It's sad, but not something I dwell on much. I don't get the obsession people have with her.

I think it's hard seeing a mentally incompetent person being taking advantage of. But many of her fans are in denial about her illness and have the misguided desire for her to be "free."

I've oft wondered if they give thought to the consequences. Likely they don't think that far in advance, but instead will be the ones lamenting how this innocent woman was taken by another grifter. They'll read the articles about her tragic fall from riches to rags and think "what a shame, someone should have looked out for her".

She is Britney Spears so she will always be worth something and she should be able to live her life a she wishes as long as she’s not harming herself or others.

Yes. And plenty of male entertainers did worse.

It’s not that I think Britney isn’t lovable…but I’m convinced he’s after her for her money.

Wouldn’t you think the same about any guy that tried to marry her?

Not necessarily. But an "actor/dancer" more than a decade younger? Absolutely.

I agree. I definitely think there are guys out there who would love her and marry her for the right reasons. But not this guy.

She probably never had the chance to meet the right guy.

If her dad was so concerned about her, why did he petition for ending of conservatorship? Like if he did not get to do it, nobody else should?

They think Britney Spears from 2001 will return. That Britney is long gone. I look at her IG from time to time…she seems to have the maturity level of a middle schooler. I don’t write that to be mean as she seems to have a very sweet soul and has been through a lot. I hope the best for her.

She has the emotional maturity of a person ravaged by mental illness who has been extremely sheltered and protected. And is unable to take care of her own children. I would love to think this could turn out well, but how could it?

I read that she wants Jodi whateverherlastname is to remain on in a paid capacity to assist her even if/when the conservatorship ends. That tells me she's fully capable of making good decisions for herself. In this case, she's making the decision that she still needs help. That's what independent living is. Not living alone. Not living without help. Making your own decisions about what that help is and who is giving it. That's what will happen. There's a lot of room in between "no help at all, she's going to fail miserably" and "she has no right to make her own decisions, every single decision shall be made by someone else."

She seems to have been stunted over the years. In earlier interviews she seemed way more together. I don’t know if this is a result of medication or manipulation by her handlers.

Yes, and lets say (one of ) the worst case scenario happens... She pops out a kid, the guy splits after a couple years, and she has to pay (maybe) some amount of alimony. I bet she would rather blow her money (and life) this way than constantly paying out the nose *millions and millions* for her father's slate of lawyers to maintain a conservatorship that at best was problematic and worst somewhat abusive.

Also not even clear that this is the likely scenario. Guy might be a grifter but knows a good grift--he has $$$$, a high profile, and is a "hero" while he stays, why not keep a good thing going?
