He's had an affair before, which Christine found out about, and she stayed with him. So he probably felt that he could do literally anything without fear of disrupting his comfort. Total narcissist.

Yes, she did. Maybe 2 previous au pairs of theirs married. Juliana decided not to look outside the home. She was their first au pair to extend, I believe and went public with the affair at that point.

With all of the "my heart" "my whole world" posts on IG, just reeked of cheated on wife trying to hold on harder and convince herself he felt the same. IME sometimes if people don't leave they overcompensate in degree of denial. Terrible situation for her and so unhealthy for the child, even before the killings.

BB was still a “baby agent” / fng at the time of the murders.

The irs ci training is about 6 months long.(in Georgia) New agents have continued mentoring after they go to the field.

It appears that cb made a post referencing the house purchase while bb was in training.

Bb likely had a pretty well defined schedule in feb 2023.

Interesting. Someone said upthread that many are on the apps even before arrival.

Maybe CB felt like it was something she needed to do to keep him. Maybe it was linked to his birthday, the day before the murders. He kept moving the goal posts in a very sick, manipulative way in their relationship, dehumanizing her. Whether she consciously was aware of this affair yet or not, on some level she had to pick up the "sister wives" vibe in her own home. She likely felt desperate. His appearance had changed, so often a sign of an affair in midlife. Maybe they had always been swingers but she doesn't really seem the type. She was clinging to an illusion, much like AP is now.

She had been quite heavy when young and may have been insecure and having a cheating husband likely did not help her self esteem. She had moved far from family and lifelong friends. He had a lot of control over her emotionally is my guess. I doubt she agreed to him f&cking her child's caregiver in her own home, maybe marital bed. And flaunting her at a gym she also likely frequented.

Still, I'm certain she would not have killed for him, that AP is ride or die and all about the $$$. Does she even realize they burned down the life she thought she was stepping into? Clock was ticking in the final year of the J-1, is she still so caught up in delusions? 3 months behind bars may be a needed reality check.

I don't think BB's relationship with the au pair is even speculation at this point. His history of infidelity along with the au pair's instagram photos seem to be pretty damning evidence of a relationship...

Watch for him to weaponize the affair and his "weakness" to explain it all away. AP orchestrated it all out of "love" and he thought it was just S... didn't think she would go so far as to attack his wife.

That's why he let her have access to his gun, he was trying to show off. That's why he took the blame for her, she was young, scared, and from another country. He didn't think there would be an issue since it was a "home invasion..." Blah, blah blah.

Hopefully there is forensic or digital evidence that would completely foreclose a version of events like this. Would be interesting if some sort of GPS tracking on his phone for his car to see what route it took that morning.

And if CB was drugged that would presumably show up on an autopsy and totally contradict the home invasion story line?
