Didn't like seeing Commissioner Klisch yelling at head umpire (super nice guy) on field following game last year, complaining about calls. Violation of NWLL and LLI sportsmanship rules.
Didn't like Commissioners Sweeney/Klisch overruling AAA coaches who UNANIMOUSLY requested 5-run rule to avoid blowouts. Commissioners rejected coaches and instructed umpires (including kid umpires) to call forfeits and pull teams off field. Supposedly to ensure accurate playoff seeding!?! Didn't like Commissioner Klisch using discretion to stack his team in the fall season (finished with 8-1 record) as detailed in previous posts. Didn't like Commissioners Klisch/Sweeney circulating family/player information in violation of privacy rules as explained in report. Not fun. Not acceptable. Need fresh leadership. |
I was a parent on Mike's team. He has never yelled at an umpire. Who did he yell at Drew? If you don't like the no-5 run rule in the Spring, complain to Ricky. It's his rule. Stacking team? Read the rules. Mike's 7-7-1 spring team that HAD to stay together in the Fall. That's the rule. Did the other 8-1 team stack their team too? Keep attacking him. He saved the league.... |

Hopefully they will reach out to the community for candidates to fill other positions, particularly commissioners. Lots of talented and capable fresh faces out there to help move the league forward.
Agree 100%. Need new people running the show at commissioner level. Last year not fun.
Agreed but it looks like it is now just Klisch’s puppet government. The new Vp was chosen to be the spring majors commissioner since Klisch is suspended from little league. I’m sure the VP/commissioner will coach too as he has done for the last several years. The new president has zero experience. Klisch put her in place so he could keep Calling the shots. All to get his kid on the summer team. Klisch is pathetic and out of control. He destroyed the league. |

Happened on Saturday, May 20. Immediately after game, just past 3d base on left field side. Parents saw it, heard it, and talked to the umpire afterwards. Documented. Plain violation of sportsmanship rules by any parent or coach and totally inappropriate for league Commissioner. This in addition to other umpire issues, eg Massachusetts. Also no doubt about stacking team in fall -- started with more all-stars than any other team by longshot and then Commissioner added ANOTHER all-star to his own team. 5 total all-stars (more than half starting lineup). No other team close. 8-1 record. Commissioners can't blame Ricky for the 5-run rule -- that was their doing. Email trail. They were running the show. Hopefully the new Board will look into these issues (straightforward and indisputable facts) and solicit fresh, new candidates for commissioner roles. |

Klisch's son had the second highest B.A. during the 6 tournament games (.545) and highest OBP (.643). His son made 7 put outs at second base in one tournament game. Klisch's team won the state title by a collective score of 31-3. You do not know simple math and know nothing about baseball |
May 20 game was against Drew Walker and Ricky Davenport's GRAYS.
We all know who you are. |
And this absolves you from yelling at the head umpire on the field after game (in front of parents/kids) in violation of sportsmanship rules, from stacking team, from violating privacy rules, and from rejecting unanimous position of coaches to avoid blowouts in AAA games? Please new Board, look into these issues. Several of you elected on pitch of bringing fresh start to league. Well, lots of fresh, capable people with clean hands out there to fill commissioner roles. |
My kid was at that game and so was my husband. As usual, Grays' coaches were holding court with umps at President's picnic table. Only Grays coaches were yelling.
Klisch is not the AAA commissioner. Sweeney enforced Ricky's "no 5 run rule" in Spring. If you don't like the rules, complain to new board. And where is your real time complaint in WRITING? Nowhere! Stop attacking Klisch and Sweeney. They saved the league and stopped the $ bleeding to board members. |
New Board - please take a look and solicit candidates! |
ho ho go, wait a minute - is klisch saying this never happened, that he didn’t confront the head umpire on field #4 after the game and complain about calls?! if so, the board should definitely investigate and get information from those who witnessed it. easy enough to prove and more evidence that klisch unfit to serve. |
You NW parents are batshit crazy. If kids weren't involved, this would be hilarious.
Let me ask a question though, how come NW kids don't go on to high level baseball in HS and beyond at any comparison level to Chll, cap city, etc.? Is it because you spend so much time on the crap above (mostly dads misbehaving) instead of say, actually focusing on player development. All that said, good job to the two who whistle blew here. Clearly was needed. |
More than half of these posts are Klisch and Sweeney pretending to be other people in support of them. It’s hysterical. They’ve written so much insanity to so many NWLL families that it’s easy to recognize it. I hope the new board does a good job but doesn’t take from these two. Now cue the artificial post written by one of them thanking them for all they’ve done. There are plenty of parents in the league that have witnessed the bad sportsmanship at games as well. |
Yep. And easy to confirm he stacked team in fall. Just look at rosters for fall and spring all-stars.
He had 4 returning league (and summer) all-stars, yet ADDED ANOTHER all-star to his team as Commissioner to give his team a total of 5 all-stars and an 8-1 record. No other team close. Several had 1 or 2 all-stars by comparison. Indisputable facts. After all the crap about Ricky supposedly stacking teams. #hypocrite Would be outrageous if "Fresh Start" board gave him any role representing league. |
