It's such bizarre behavior for a 25 year old. If my 14 year old did that, I would be really surprised, and she's not especially mature.
I'm really curious what could have caused it. Was her family or boyfriend controlling or abusive? |
| The parents totally lied in their televised interview. Flat out lied. |
|
"she had $107 in cash in her right sock.”
!!!! |
| Hoover PD ripped her a new one while still being nice about it |
I wonder what the more personal stuff they won’t release out of respect for her privacy pertains to. Gosh, what a crazy immature kid. The resources expended on this case, omg!! |
| Her poor parents. I feel sorry for them and Aniyah’s mom the most. |
Agree!! They are being very kind to her by allowing it to be on her terms. "If she calls right now, we are ready." |
I don’t get the Amber alert searches. Was she concerned that one would be issued for her or that she would need to pay for one for the child? |
| Can't watch it but I'm so intrigued by the comments here. Anyone care to give a brief recap of what has been said so far? |
Southern nice. You never feel the knife stabbing you over and over. |
| I mean seriously, she is a grown adult. If she wanted $107, she had a job. She was also at a point in her life where could certainly say, "mom, dad, I am going to Nashville, whether you like it or not." |
I’d like to think that they genuinely believed her. She sounded convincing on the 911 call, quite the liar!!! |

So in summary -
She took a robe and toilet paper from work. Picked up dinner. Picked up snacks from target, including cheeseits. Drove down the road for 6 foot ball fields following this "toddler" while making the 911 call. Called the SIL and screamed and disappeared. Wig, watch, phone left at the scene. Toilet paper, robe, and snacks not found at scene. Claimed she was taken over a fence, into a truck, escaped, back into the truck, into a car, taken to a house. Man and a woman. Not touched, but maybe photographs taken. They fed her cheeseits. They put her back in the truck, she got out, ran through woods and made it home. Her phone records show in the days leading up to it that she searched for things about amber alerts, stealing money, and a movie about an abduction (taken), along with other more personal searches they won't discuss that that indicate her mental state. |
The believe their daughter. Can’t fault them for that. |
Really? I don't have one shred of sympathy after they went on the Today show. Did you see the interview where they said they have warned Carlee in the past that traffickers might use babies to lure young women to the side of the road? They had to know. |
