Pride 2028 is at US Youth Nationals with 3 games tomorrow and at least one on Wednesday. Pretty unlikely.

You must not be plugged in if you believe that. There will be some at MD tryouts starting today.

Realistically how many girls on Pride would even make a MD team considering the lack of movement on those teams? A Pride girl would have to be really good to displace an existing player. I think it's probably a small number of Pride players who are at such a level. Maybe even none.

Oh please. You’re either SD or a complete moron (or both). Not even going to get to the “merits” of your post.

The girls on the top MD teams already have solid stick skills and lax IQ; even the bottom 5 players on the team. So you will need to come in with both of those plus speed, or size to set you apart and make them consider replacing a current player.

My DD made American Select so I’m pretty sure she is good enough for an MD team even without all the “tools” you mentioned.

The PP makes a fair point about size and speed. Hopefully the women’s lacrosse committee doesn’t vote to change the rules to 6v6 vs the current 7v7 below the restraining line. If they do it’s one less opportunity for girls/women to get on the field and fewer scholarships moving forward. And this may change the type of player recruited.

Coach’s may start to look even more for the bigger, taller, speedier players to fill the open space. At least at the Top 20 D1 level.

Speaking from experience, if you want to get into the Capital pipeline (Stars) or make a top 5 Maryland club, this summer is the time to change clubs. It’s much harder to do it next year when they are all going into high school.

So, any preliminary word on how tryouts went today? Who showed up? Etc.

This topic is so exhausted. Stars is not the sole pipeline to Capital. Good lord. Look how many Pride girls make Capital every year.

Tie will go to a Stars player though…

The tied for 24th best player may benefit if a former Stars player but for everyone else it does not matter.

Any Pride girls show to Heros tryout?

Not at 2028. Bottom line - don’t see Capital 2028 being very competitive with MD clubs if Stars is main feeder.

I think what dumb dumb us trying to get across is, Capital actually had agreements with Bethesda and Stars to have solid working relationships with them.

Now, yes, other clubs can go to Capital, but the Bethesda and Stars players actually get a lot of interactions with a Capital coaches

But I will say this, Pride does not dominate the numbers at Capital. Every age group is different with girls coming from many different clubs

Heard the only significant move is MDU middie to Coppermine tho that is unconfirmed. No big moves of consequence anywhere else.

American Select is a joke. The best 2028s in our region didn’t even consider it.
