Dude, he said he was “enlightened by QAnon and Illuminati conspiracy theories.”

He’s most likely schizophrenic. QAnon is something his addled brain latched onto. It doesn’t mean QAnon caused him to kill his children.

+ 100 My brother was schizophrenic and had a reality break or psuchotic break. He believed there were demons in people and everyone was out to kill him. He ended up jumping with a giant sword yelling religious garble to slay the "demons". There were no demons. Mental illness is REAL! It MUST be addressed. How many kids and wives/husbands have to die before it is addressed???

When are we going to ban this crap from social media?

His public IG pages seems so normal. Photos of his wife & kids, his last posting is a video of him surfing with his older kid.

You can’t just make a mentally ill adult get help. The law is on their side. Google “Right to be sick”.

There’s no “might” about it. He SAID HIMSELF it was because of Q conspiracy theories. Q are rabid Trump supporters.

Yeah, of course. When it’s a non-poor, reasonably attractive white guy, it’s always excused away as “poor man, blah blah blah, mental health.”

He was a man with mental problems that has nothing to do with politics.

Look, some very tragic deaths happened in Baltimore recently. Young children killed by family members. Including a pair that were left in a car trunk by their aunt for, what, a year, before discovery. Do we want to speculate whether or not she was a Democratic supporter (given the stats for urban black voters)? No. It's not the point.

I would typically agree but in this case the killer was citing Qanon conspiracies as to why he was committing the murders

+1

Trumpism/Qanon is important here.

And if the baltimore killer was quoting some bizarre Obama conspiracy as to why she killed the kids yes I’d blame extremist politics for that too

False equivalence.

There is NOT a conspiracy theory ring supported by current D politicians and millions of D voters.

Cool it people.

How many children have been killed by their parents quoting whoever QAnon is? Is there a pattern of cult deaths?

No.

Good lord, the reasoning and logic on this thread is astonishing.

The man had major mental problems. It's no different from any other situations where family members kill children or parents or spouses.

It's sad and tragic, but rushing to blame it on your favorite bogeyman is hardly helpful and speaks more about you than it does about the man and his horrible deeds.

It is a trend and it’s accelerating.

79 individuals have committed crimes “motivated” by QAnon as of March 2021.

Remember, Trump was supposed to return to power this month, per QAnon online propaganda. We should anticipate more QAnon related crimes in the coming weeks.

Academics at University of Maryland are tracking it:
https://www.start.umd.edu/sites/default/files/publications/local_attachments/START%20QAnon%20Research%20Brief_5_26.pdf

Trump was supposed to return to power tomorrow. Its the full moon for the QAnon nuts.

I don't know who the bigger nuts are, the QAnon people or the people who think QAnon poses a real threat.

It certainly was a real threat to these two children and the three killed in CA.

Coleman may get the federal death penalty.

Also, the extremist Christian churches he attended are circling the wagons and pretending that he didn’t attend:

People also say God told them to do things. Or the CIA.
