The thread title is dumb, but that’s not the issue.

The issue: conservative conspiracy theories are causing mentally ill people to turn violent. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and every social media platform that allows this sh#t to proliferate has blood on their hands.

The mom waited 24 hours between initial and follow up contact with police. She thought he would return with the kids. That time was critical and she will likely blame herself for the rest of her life.

No fight beforehand, no symptoms exhibited. He had a full on break with reality.

Well shot is a misnomer. He apparently stabbed each kid at least 12 times. So it tells me it happened close-range and extremely violently. Being shot once through the heart would have actually been more humane.

The people who have lost any sense of reality on this thread are the people who make a big emphasis on that this man was apparently possibly a Trump supporter.

He was a man with mental problems that has nothing to do with politics.

Look, some very tragic deaths happened in Baltimore recently. Young children killed by family members. Including a pair that were left in a car trunk by their aunt for, what, a year, before discovery. Do we want to speculate whether or not she was a Democratic supporter (given the stats for urban black voters)? No. It's not the point.

at some point the reality of what he did will set in. I expect suicide attempt. as for the mom, i feel horrible for her. but also, its seems he's been delusional about QAnon for some time. That would be enough to make me fear for my family.

i can't imagine the pain the mom is in now. I wonder how much he was able to hide his delusions from her (sounds like she thought they were going camping).

one thing that I wonder--if my spouse took off with my baby and toddler and didn't answer texts, I would probably panic way early on, call the police, assume an accident, etc.
