I’d love to get kids back more days a week but at this point I will settle for what we have- which is switching kids from virtual to hybrid and get kids in 5 days a week in August.

He is a complete failure and should be fired. He has failed to provide any substantial plan and I have zero faith this will change for the fall. hybrid and concurrent is here to stay until covid disappears. anyone who doesn't see that either doesn't care or is paranoid.

He has a plan - you just don't like it. And, guess what, his plan includes opening 5 days in the fall.

FCPS is saying the same thing regarding 5 days in person in the fall. Yet the superintendent admitted in a work session last week that he has applied for a waiver of the minimum required hours next year.

I think they are planning on 5 days in person but want the waiver in case things surge and we need temporary shutdowns.

Curious when we move out of the "middle of a pandemic" mentality. That is a key phrase that is routinely tossed out as though it justifies all things. But, we're not in the middle by my account anymore. We have vaccines. Variants are emerging, but, we're certainly light years from where we were last March. The problem is that we have barely moved the needle from last March, while a significant portion of the rest of America and the world have prioritized education and moved on from obsessing over the minutia like we are here.
