Sorry, correction - they have managed to vax a robust FOUR PERCENT of their clientele. |
I think it's even worse that that. They are failing to do what they need to do to actually reach vulnerable residents (targeted outreach) and instead of admitting and correcting this failure, they are hiding behind demonizing the people who are able to successful use the system (that they set up in the first place!) |
Again, your moral compass is broken. The rules ALLOW DC residents to get vaxxed in Maryland and other states. |
NP. Your frontal lobe is dysfunctional and you have no moral compass to speak of. The rules do not allow DC residents to get vaccinated in other states unless they work in those states. |
you're impossible. and, you're not actually helping the people you claim to want to be helping. if you were, you'd be signing them up at EVERY available site, which includes several MD sites for DC residents. |
And yet the people giving the shots don’t care. PP, you’d better get down there and set them all straight. |
\ yeah, PP is going to go down there and bodily prevent all the DC residents (including many POC) from getting vaxxed at the Greenbelt site. Meanwhile DC is letting the organizations it has punted to to target vulnerable populations sit on TENS OF THOUSANDS of doses because they claim that they don't have the staff, can't reach clients, vaccine hesitancy, and myriad other excuses. |
Dude, you sound like a sociopath (besides being a liar). Maybe volunteer at: https://dchealth.dc.gov/mrc instead of deflecting your amorality? |
| Today's Post article about DC Health blocking independent pharmacies from doling out shots they have already received from the Feder al Government (and therefore causing them to have to refuse further delivery) read like an Onion article. |
let me put this to you plainly. The Maryland sites are PERMITTING DC residents to be vaxxed there, regardless of where they work. Your refusal to produce any evidence to the contrary but adamantly claiming that it is “immoral” really sounds like gaslighting or mental illness. Especially when it is clear that the problem is the lack of outreach to vulnerable communities, not people “jumping in line.” |
yes. apparently DC’s plan for vaccine equity is to let community groups hoard doses, while blocking independent pharmacies from giving out doses. |
The more people in the 20015 zip code who catch this and die, the better the city's overall equity numbers look. |
What do you mean by “community groups”? Bowser won’t let pharmacies schedule on their own. She is keeping control to ensure her criteria are met. Unethical at best. |

That article also says:
Although state leaders have said that they prefer that vaccines only go to their state’s residents, some mass vaccination sites in Maryland and Virginia have made appointments available to residents of the District and other jurisdictions. |
FFS - b/c they work in Maryland. There are many DC residents who work in Maryland. DC made appointments available to Marylanders who work in DC. |
