Although state leaders have said that they prefer that vaccines only go to their state’s residents, some mass vaccination sites in Maryland and Virginia have made appointments available to residents of the District and other jurisdictions.

FFS - b/c they work in Maryland. There are many DC residents who work in Maryland. DC made appointments available to Marylanders who work in DC.

The Greenbelt site is available to all comers. That’s very clear. PP is sh*tposting for reasons they only know, and I’m very close to flagging them for deletion as a troll.

If by “improved,” you mean “wholly degraded,” why then, yes.

You all have very low expectations in DC so not surprised you would celebrate this improvement when VA and MD have to open up mass vaccine sites to DC residents for humanitarian purposes.

Only OP.

The rest of us in this thread are horrified by how inept DC has been at distributing the vaccine, particularly the Mayor and every single person on the Council.

Yes, we are horrified. I am sure the Mayor is going to "count" all the people vaccinated in MD and VA as going towards her self-pat on the back, but we see it.

+1. It’s so bad here in DC. I have one friend who was vaccinated here. The rest? MD.

I live in DC. Practically everyone I know gave up on DC and went to MD or VA for vaccinations

My spouse and I pre-registered weeks ago and both got calls for and received first dose this week. Very efficient operation at the Convention Center. Nice people.

So there’s that.

I preregistered weeks ago and was notified via email today that I could finally make an appointment. I then scheduled an appointment for the earliest available day next week. DC Health has since robo-called me four times (and counting!). Lol.

That's not been our experience.

Meant to add, the only people I know who went to MD were not yet eligible in DC and jumped on one of the mass vax sites. I also know a bunch of people who live in MD who got vaxxed in DC using a work or friend's address once DC went to health conditions. I think it all worked out in the end.
