Yes, and this time last year people couldn’t imagine schools not at least opening on a hybrid basis this past fall. |
Why do you want to keep kids out of the classroom? If you are a teacher with a health issue, you are DL-ing. |
I also couldn't imagine our POTUS fck up our response like he did. |
LIAR. That isn't what OP said. |
NP: my kids start hybrid next week and I want them back full time in person in the fall. But I think it's too much to bring them back full time this school year. |
Most people agree with you re: hybrid now, full time next school year. But if you don’t keep up the pressure now, you won’t get full time next school year. |
I think APE does a disservice to themselves with those signs and demanding it now, for this school year. They get branded, fairly or unfairly, as a bunch of crazies. I think they would be more effective and less polarizing if they tailored their message for the fall. Except that I also think there is a strong APE contingent who actually want to open full time now and not just at ES level. |
At least be decent and fundraise for extra masks, wipes and other supplies schools need. |
Its a health issue for everyone. Some of us care concerned about others as well as ourselves. |
Abs then the vaccines happened. Not you nuts with your signs. |
You people give yourselves too much credit. |
I guess you missed when they did this in October? There was a thread on AEM that asked teachers for wish lists. Or that a number of people in APE offered to buy tents/awnings and such for outdoor lunches but were rebuffed? Are you privy to the conversations many in APE have had with principals, teachers and APS admin checking to see PPE needs or wipes? Believe me, the principals at my kids’ schools know if they need anything I would be happy to support them. |
Maybe that should have been part of their message if it was so important to them. Not everyone (anyone?) monitors the AEM post for random APE parents. I don’t even know who most of them are. |

Agreed. It would be a huge stretch to expect something reasonable from that group. |
