APS: Open Now group (APE) fundraising for new signs for 5 day a week school

I don’t even notice those guys. It sounds so self important and not about our actual students. Avoid.

Your Student, Every Day
APS is Ready

Do they think people will immediately understand what this slogan means? I really don't think many will.
Anonymous
Yeah. If “APS is Ready,” why does APE need yard signs??

Now one of the loudest (and rudest) APE voices is running for school board. Sounds like another single issue candidate to me.

Wouldn’t vote for someone associated with APE if they were passing out winning lottery tickets. No thanks. I need someone with ideas who seeks to accomplish something. Not a complainer who just demands the system bend to their will. Ick.

Which one?

Great! makes 5 day a week even more likely!

If APS were to change to 5 days this school year, wouldn’t they have to reopen the decision window since parents chose between hybrid and virtual NOT five days and virtual? Not sure how that would work out...

My understanding is that opening windows whenever possible is a science-based safety measure.

How dare anyone in Arlington have a view that isn’t completely in line with normie neoliberal thought!

loudest and rudest? you must not be in APE. I am in the group but more of a lurker. She is MOST definitely not the loudest or rudest. your comment is purposely meant to malign her to the uniformed. She is very upfront with her return to school views, just because you disagree doesn't make her rude. Anyone in the APE Facebook group knows who the loudest and rudest are because there are some - but it's not Miranda, not by a long shot. it's just lawsuit guy and a few cranks. (And Miranda has commented many times that she/APE doesn't support the lawsuit.)

Some of the other anti-science organizations that think kids need in person schools include such crackpots as Unicef, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Joe Biden administration!

This a thousand times. And it I hate hearing how everyone is tried of the same ole , same ole and nothing ever gets done. The reason is that when everyone thinks a like there is no discussion, debate and no impetus to make any change. It's only when we in Arlington start electing non Democrats that something different will start happening. Debate and defending ideas is needed for growth.

"open now" before recommended safety measures were in place and while #s were rising.
