Not OP but when did a post become an obsession? Commenters are criticizing OP for posting this on DCUM but those commenters are also on DCUM. If I'm going to ask OP whether they have something better to do than to post here, then I'm also going to ask those commenters whether they have something better to do than to comment here.

Oh, there are definitely one or two posters here who spend far too much time obsessing over APE. It’s actually a positive for APE, though, because it promotes the group and they keep getting new members.

None of the K-2 classes are sharing rooms or teachers. The kids aren't using any public spaces except for outdoor lunch, where there is tons of room. Most of our kids are walkers, so no bus issue. All specials are already virtual. I think the K and 1st rooms even have a dedicated bathroom.

I don't see a risk difference between my kid being in a class with 12 kids for two days a week or five. It's the same 12 kids regardless. Let's do it.

Our school is double using rooms (T/W for one grade, R/F for another).

Cute spin, but not true.

What a waste of time and money. I cannot imagine schools wouldn’t be fully open by then, but if they are or they’re not, it’s because of health metrics and not them.

Which one?

Great! makes 5 day a week even more likely!

If APS were to change to 5 days this school year, wouldn’t they have to reopen the decision window since parents chose between hybrid and virtual NOT five days and virtual? Not sure how that would work out...

They're not going to change teacher assignments again for K-2. That would be too disruptive. I think everyone made their choice for this year. It would be great if they could add more in person days for K-2, but I'm not holding my breath.

APS isn’t going to switch back to five days this year. For the most part, APE knows that too. They are keeping the pressure on APS now in the hopes that the fall will start with a five day a week option.

Just think about how much of a better place our world would be if the APE people put all of their time and energy into doing something GOOD for a change.

Whereas vapid one-liners on DCUM will save the world.

I don't think even John Lennon could imagine something as far fetched as that

Don’t you need to post some more links from the Facebook page of your flailing law firm?

I'm not who you must think I am bc I'm a fed. And not a lawyer. But please keep trying to personally attack people, APE. It's so effective.

PP, looks like your funny comment hit an APE's nerve. Sad the best they can do is come back with some veiled personal attack.

Seriously. So much wasted energy on an inane platform.

Go fix the APS literacy program. Go look at the science + data of reading and get started there.

You are pretty damn selfish to think that just because your school MIGHT be able to do this, that everyone can. So typical of the parents on DCUM to think only of themselves and not of other students and schools.
