Now, question is... are FCV even in the discussion because they play in the weakest between GA and ECNL? Kinda like the WFT was a "playoff team" this year from the NFC-East which was four dumpster fires.

Who is FCGB? Not being obnoxious but I am not familiar with them. Looks like a MD club and we are VA but I dont think we have encountered them. The rest of the teams I know. Biggest difference between them and ecnl teams I have seen is that the ECNL teams tend to have a couple players a lot better. The rest of the players on an edp or other strong team may be close to the rest of an ecnl team but the non ecnl teams lack the couple top kids. p.s. rereading you said 06 and 07 fcgb are strong. We are 05 so maybe that is it.

FCGB is one of the few club that focuses quite a bit on technical skills. I haven't watch them play but have seen them in practices. They do lots of technical drills and passes during practices. Hence, their players have very good foot skills and first touch.

They do a great job training but their players are not likely to make any of the top ECNL/GA teams at the older ages. I don't understand why but the training has not translated to success at developing elite players. If the focus is for DD to learn technical skills and have fun, then FCGB is the place. If your goal is the next level, I would think twice.

You can have all the technical skills, but if you don't know how or when to use them or aren't willing to take a chance, then they don't work. So while i appreciate technical skills you have to know when to use them. Frankly their 06 team is good but the other teams are not. They play too slow so they are in EDP division 3 or 4

FCGB younger ages is basically like Rec Plus. They are not very competitive.

We are at FCGB 06. We play in the same brackets as Bethesda and MD United when we are in the same tournaments. Have not actually played Bethesda recently but we were competitive with MD united in the fall. The coaches are really good. They do not have the talent pool across most years that the larger clubs do but when they do get talent they manage it really well. I think our team is probably the top of the club but the 07 got suddenly very strong this year. At the 06 year the merger of Bethesda and Rush freed up a player or two and we were already good. Dont know the 07 team well enough to say why but they are also very good and at the top of the EDP. If they can put together a couple more years like these two teams they have a chance to stick around.
