Girls ECNL vs EDP players’ skills, attributes, etc.

There are u15 and older players at clubs unaffiliated with ECNL/GA. There players can easily make and contribute to the most competitive ECNL teams in the area.

I don’t think anyone is arguing with that. In no way does ECNL have a monopoly on talented soccers kids. I think the initial questions were asking for broad observations between the level of competitiveness in ECNL vs EDP, which I believe is fair game to state that ECNL players and competition are better. Are there talented EDP girls that could play in ECNL, of course. Likewise, there’s a lot of DIII players who could be successful playing DI soccer but if you asked me if DI soccer players are faster, better than DIII players, the answer is yes.

+1. It seems some posters are practically saying ECNL team roosters are all highly skilled, big & faster players. It is as if their teams have little Mia Hamm, Abby Wambach, etc. that can practically start and dominate at any positions on EDP teams.

The most important attribute that a girl needs to play ecnl is parents willing to pay for ecnl. The rest is secondary

go on youtube and look at any ECNL game at any age group.

20% (2 on a team) of the players on a team have GENUINE TALENT. 60%. are alright and can use their athletic ability over skill. 20% of the players (2 on a team) could be interchanged with other good players who are not playing ECNL.

How many EDP players just got called up to the U17 camp?
How many D1 college coaches watch EDP showcases?

EDP in NOVA is not the same as EDP in regions were there are no ECNL or GA options for the players.
