Really? I have a couple of African-American and Asian friends who definitely look 10 years (or even more) younger than their actual age.

You only think that because you’ve never lived in an Asian or African country.

Well if the only way to guess their real age is by carefully analyzing their face for aging tells, or having lived overseas, then they must look young for their age.

...otrr you're just trying to prove your old point how white women age poorly

No need to be defensive. I don’t think white women age poorly, but I have seen many Asian and black women who look very young for their age.

I use to look 10 years younger. Baby face. But after kids I look about 5 years younger. I notice my hands and neck, but I take care of them now. Genetics help.

But only because of your white-as-default upbringing. That’s why you can only see white aging tells.

Even if there is people thinking I look so much younger and I do think I look a bit younger then my generation, I would never say it out loud. It sounds so vain and is there really any woman out there believing she looks older or at least her age?!
My husband is younger and my whole life I looked girly and immature, but I do understand the difference between "looking good for her age" and looking 10 years younger.

No Botox, never dyed my hair, nothing. Just runs in the family (my mom has always looked younger, as does one of my sisters).
I’m 43, south Asian.

I get this too at the doctor's office, and I'm white. It's genes, along with lots of sunscreen in my case.

Yes. The posters who don't believe women can look 10 years younger have not lived their whole lives with a baby face.

And I agree on the generic “you look young” compliment. I don’t use it because it implies when they are old looking they won’t be so attractive.

Holy crap. I just went to that how-old.net and it said I look 25. I am 40. Man, I've been annoyed by how people treat me so much younger but if this is true, that I look that young, I get it. I thought I at least looked 33.

dp I doubt you would look 25 if next to my 22 year old! Then again she looks 15...

Eat and take supplements that are high in antioxidants. Eat a clean veggie diet. Don’t drink or smoke! Yes I’m boring now but taking care of your insides shows on your skin. Have a great chemical exfoliating skin care regimen. I wanted to age well and looked into what it takes and fast forward to 42 I get I’m in my 20’s honestly I’m a chicken when it comes to needles and I wanted a more proactive approach than a surgery approach. youthfulness is also a state of mind... I’m genuinely happy and smiling all the time and playful.

Im the same age as you and I get called you ver than my age. But, I’d never compare myself to a 20 something year old. Yes, having a healthy earring habits is key, life style and genetics. Can I say I took like my 20 something cousin, no. Can I compare myself to my sister in law who is 36 and is wrinkled yes why genetics.

Except the one woman early on who admitted she was a "chubby" size 8.

Oh I'm fat. But that app said I looked 38 and 36 and I am a full-on 50 (I also used pics that are already on the web because as they are the professional pics my employer uses, so take that "they are stealing your information" people!). I have been fat most of my life. I am smaller now than I have been (I'm a 12 now have been as big as an 18) but, still fat. I have a youthful spirit and smile a lot. And I think I am a good-looking 50. I groom, I dress nicely, no gray hair. If someone thinks I am 10 years younger, they should clean their glasses, but I'll take it.

Apparently alll DCUM women look 10 years younger. Do tell!

Exercise
Vit C Serum
Tretinoin
Hair color
Wear trendy clothing
Botox - not too much
Filler - not too much
Take care of your teeth. I go every 3 months for cleaning. I floss twice a day.
Wear sunscreen all the time

It's possible to look 10 years younger for a time, if you start in your early 20s and are obsessive about it. I do know women like this, and they avoided the sun, used wrinkle treatments in their early 20s, and took exquisite care of their bodies.

But perimenopause is the great leveller, and looking very young for one's age is super rare after that.

I can’t say that I know anyone personally that looks 10 years younger. Perhaps 5-6? Both DH and I are 41 and we look good, but not 31. Both AA, and we take care of ourselves. We are getting the tell tale signs of aging like jowls, crows feet and forehead lines.

I take that back. I’m watching NIA long right now. She does NOT look 49.

I was a very late bloomer (I didn't get my period until I was 16) and just always looked young. I hated it when I was in my teens and 20s. Now (in my 40s) it's finally something I enjoy. I also stay fit. My mom is 85 and still doesn't have gray hair. She has a few wispy gray hairs near her temples, but that's it.

A few years ago a repairman asked to speak to my father. I looked over my shoulder in shock wondering how my Dad ended up in my house without me knowing it and then realized the repairman was referring to my husband.
