I guess she didn’t learn about commas at her big university. |
Yes. Do you just not notice the confederate statues. |
Nobody cares about Amherst lacrosse it hardly even made the news. |
| I judge people who haven’t heard of top SLACs. |
To busy looking at the beautiful rolling hills, charming downtown, stately campus architecture, beautiful coeds, wonderful vineyards and cozy restaurants to notice. College Park has an IKEA and two GameStops tho, so you got that going for you |
| Yes, “to” busy. You’re bright. |
DP, but you have to do better than play auto-correct Nazi if you want to compete in this game. 10-minute penalty for Team UMCP. |
What are top SLAC? |
| I asked about the University of Minnesota on here a few months ago and got a very strong response. |
Part of it is the obsession with UVA and why there's so much anti-Michigan hate from those people. Basically people believe UVA is only behind Berkeley (due to USNews) and as prestigious as Ivies (although it does have a storied historical) and almost a "private institution" (with near-17,000 students..) In reality UVA is the highest tier of stereotypical Southern colleges - great architecture, great social life, beautiful architecture, great college town, humanities heavy, "focus on undergraduate", but very low research output and very lacking in STEM, etc. Like University of Georgia but better. If people stop comparing it to research-heavy top publics like Berkeley/Michigan, Ivies, other private colleges, its a great college at a great price. |
Yeah, you nailed it, that’s the typical Stanford experience right there.

Universally loved? |
It was gas. |
Of course no one has heard of top SLACs. This is DCUM, the center of ignorance in the universe. Many think LACs only do arts and humanities. So I posted a while ago the amount of STEM at various schools, Ivys, top 20s, and SLACs and found my SLAC alma mater had percentage of STEM majors closer to the more technically-oriented elites like Cornell. Oh well, what else should I expect from DCUM? |
