This area doesn't support seven (Arlington, Metro, FCV, Loudoun, VDA, BRYC, McLean) "elite" teams and we all know that. Yes, some existing starters (with both leagues) won't be starters any more. May not even make the team - that's true. This is life.

There should be just one team for the DMV. That would be an elite team anything else is just watered down.

Oh, a lot of ECNL parents are gonna find out how watered down their teams have been.

Oh please! Stop thinking your team is Gods gift. Tryout then let your kid out perform then we will see how many kids your team will replace.. I think you will be surprised.

That would be great if there were actually tryouts happening this year. Reality is that many kids would be able to make a roster based on reputation alone. Coaches know who the best kids are. Not really fair, but not much about this is!

No, the number of elite level clubs got cut in half, kids aspiring to play D1 and beyond should seek out spots in the highest platform

I wonder if this is true. I’m pretty sure our all star goalie hasn’t been recruited yet. And she is definitely one of the best 05 goalies around.

Playing ECNL for years? Only one club really qualifies there and that is McLean.
