These two witnesses were supposed to be star witnesses that would start the impeachment hearings with a bang.

Why did Trump crony Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes, and Mark Meadows leave when Democrats ask questions? They were so against the private deposition and now they leave during the public testimony? I can never keep up with contrived GOP logic!

My guess would be that they are watching on television--just like most of us. This way they can discuss strategy.

Un-American? Judges make rulings and whittle down witness lists every day. Sometimes one side want to parade a bunch of irrelevant witness in front of the jury, and the court shuts down that nonsense. This isn't a court, but the same principal applies, and there is nothing un-American about it.

I dare say that the Bidens are front and center when it comes to Ukraine.

Except they are not. There is no "Biden Story" - it has been fully debunked akin to Pizzagate. Trump and Giuliani conjured a theory so the Ukrainians would make a public announcement that would be embarrassing to Joe Biden. The whole thing has backfired because there is no story.
