Why is kate Middleton considered “classy” and Meghan Markle is not?

You mean Kate. Her appeal was to slink around in a student fashion show early naked. That’s what caught her man. So that tells you about both W and K. The only interesting things ever said about her is she played field hockey in school (no comment) and that she’s now trying to take photographs of her kids.

You bring up this fashion show thing inEVERY thread. It’s like you are roaming at the mouth just dying to insert it any royal related thread. What’s wrong with you?

DP. I didn't bring up the fashion show here but I posted the pictures. Do you honestly think you can bring up Meghan being a paid 'briefcase girl' and people won't share Kate's lovely little background?

Please.

I never brought up or posted Megan’s briefcase days. I happen to be a fan of hers. I was just commenting that you seem to bring up the fashion show and post the pictures every single time there is a royal thread. Like a rabid dog. Did you think you were going to marry Eills? Jealous of Kate? Wish you could wear a swimsuit like that? What’s wrong with you????

Wait...you're reading a thread with numerous angry posts bringing up a paid job Meghan had as a briefcase girl, but the one time someone responds back that Kate did much worse we're rabid dogs now?

Go take a look in the mirror.

She's 'classy' because she's a quiet, dutiful, timid Stepford wife.

While Meghan is seen more as the powerful, beautiful woman whose taken the world by storm.

My thing is - women like Kate get looked over and forgotten as they age. (Not saying I like it, but it always happens) Women like Meghan while well-known in their youth become cause celebre's as they age.

Huge difference in power and lifelong glamour.

If you want classy, the epitome of class is the Princess Royal Anne. She is not particularly attractive, is a dowdy dresser, and shows her age. Yet she does more work than any other royal with great poise and grace. She labors out of the limelight for her many patronages but is well loved by those in the UK who understand and respect her work.

Meghan and Kate are clickbait for the royal family and you and many others have fallen for it.

Those same people also look at Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and Meghan Markle and think they’re overstepping their place. Hopefully viewpoints like that will eventually die out for the most part.

I find this funny. They didn't take the 'spotlight' from their man because they couldn't. NONE of them had any professional successes outside of their marriage. Or at least until their husbands died.

Jackie O was a homemaker until both of her husbands died.

Laura Bush was a teacher and librarian until the day she said 'I do' - thirty years before he because president.

Barbara Bush was a homemaker the whole time.

HRC was a Yale-trained lawyer, Senator, and Secretary of State. Michelle Obama was a Harvard-trained lawyer, Chicago city official, and hospital executive director. Meghan Markle was a successful actress and humanitarian well before she met Harry.

Who says being a teacher = no professional success? Sure, she wasn’t high-profile, and didn’t earn tons, but maybe she was a fantastic teacher and changed some lives. I’m sick and tired of people paying lip service to teachers, and then making offensive comments like this. One of my complaints about being a teacher was that people would assume I was dumb. Whoever I spoke to always claimed that of course they saw teachers as smart, but that hasn’t been my experience, as you just demonstrated.

Megan’s mother is black and doesn’t come from a lot of money

And father is white trash

Pure class right there.

Getting paid 1,000s to hold a briefcase and smile? That's brilliant.

With a boob lift, Meghan could teach Kate how to successfully strut.

Kate looks healthy. She was a model for a friend’s fashion show in college which is why she’s wearing that.. it’s basically a bikini with a cover-up.

Why does Meghan have a hunchback? Her legs are way to stick-like as well in those briefcase photos.

Because Kate is more reserved and poised, and dresses in a conservative 'ladylike' manner. Meghan takes more fashion risks but isn't as conservative, or elegant, in her dress. She is also a bit OTT and 'actressy' in being demonstrative all the time. Not a fan of either one, but these are pretty objective observations.

That’s such a myopic analysis. Many who have dealt with Meghan will confirm that she has always been an aggressive social climber and a hustler who uses people then disassociates from them when no longer needed unless they are very famous.

Oh the humanity! Are you 80 years old?

Have you read the topic of this thread?

Dropping the F bomb and cursing at staff is def not classy.

People kill me with their revisionist history. Kate is not any classier than Meghan. She climbed and married into royalty just like Meghan. She had her youthful exploits just like Meghan. She has shady characters in her family just like Meghan.

There’s a clear reason as to why all of a sudden she’s the gold standard for perfection to the British public and American royal watchers. You can do a search on this forum and find so many threads that talked about how she was lazy and did nothing and was a social climber.

Now that Meghan is on the scene certain people want to act as if Kate was born and bred to the social class she now inhabits. Shes no better than Meghan no matter what people would like to pretend.

Also as far as “trashy” families, can we stop pretending the Royals themselves are some model of class. Just this week Prince Andrew “retired from public life” when in reality they are shuffling him off to get him out of the spotlight because he’s accused of inappropriate behavior with a minor. That’s definitely “classy”.

Racism. I think she's very classy myself. Both of them are.

Why does everyone scream racism when they even remotely critique mm? Here’s a thought for you- Michelle Obama, an Ivy League educated attorney is classy. Meghan, an educated but thirsty actress is not. Using people then cutting them out of your life is not classy. Cutting out your clueless dad who you lauded praises on and gushed about is not classy. Writing on bananas to sex workers is not classy .

DP. I understand your frustration but I think what that is meant is that teaching doesn't come with professional acclaim mostly. Teaching is considered a "women's profession" even today, and is also perceived as one that is appropriate for women who are dutiful.

I’ve always thought of Anne as gay.

She loves those military dress uniforms way too much for a woman with three brothers.

I would have said Laura Bush has professional success as a teacher if she’d done it for any actual length of time. If she’d gotten recognition as the West Texas Teacher of the Year. If she’d made it a decade in the classroom. If she’d been elected to the school board.

She did none of those things. It was just something for her to do, get married at age 25, and quit.
