Why is kate Middleton considered “classy” and Meghan Markle is not?

Most of the women I know tend to associate kate with class and Meghan not so much...why? She’s pretty, well spoken and dresses well. What’s she missing?

Also generally what makes a woman “classy”?

Op-I think Meghan Markle is classy. Maybe you could try understanding that your circle of friends does not represent the universe (most of us figure that out by kindergarten.)

Because Kate has a relatively clean past and MM doesn’t (divorce, trashy family drama, known drug use, former briefcase girl, etc). Because Kate is always poised and polished in her appearance and MM isn’t (ill-fitting clothing, miniskirts with bare legs at formal events, messy hair, etc).

Kate is as lazy as they come.

She's 'classy' because she's a quiet, dutiful, timid Stepford wife.

While Meghan is seen more as the powerful, beautiful woman whose taken the world by storm.

My thing is - women like Kate get looked over and forgotten as they age. (Not saying I like it, but it always happens) Women like Meghan while well-known in their youth become cause celebre's as they age.

Huge difference in power and lifelong glamour.

I don't ever hear anyone outside of these boards say Megan Markle is anything but lovely and lucky and an interesting life story. And it's really, really interesting to me to see people who called Kate names and implied she was a slut or desperate or a social climber now act like she's always been the gold standard for feminine perfection. They only started doing that when they had Megan to pit her against.

But I don't know anyone in real life who is 1) obsessed with the "Royals," or 2) a mean-spirited racist. That's what sets the discussions on this board apart.

Correct. Meghan’s (black) mother is the epitome of class. but her (white) father / sibling drama, past divorce, acting career etc can’t compare in posh-ness to Kate who - above all - is British.
