Read the article. It was the airline that decided to swap the planes, necessitating some additional empty flights. Not the royals. |
Why does her father’s behaviour say “a lot about her”? DH and I have been together more than 15 years, and neither he, nor DD have met her. What it says to me is that she has the strength and boundaries to estrange a parent who, for whatever reason, is toxic in her life. She appears very close to her mother. Read the family relationship forum here for possible reasons a normal person may estrange a parent, even one that has appeared to be a “good” parent in the last. She doesn’t need to report the reason to the media or public. |
Fact is, having the royals on a commercial flight is a security, safety, and protocol nightmare for any airline. It’s not like it’s you and I flying, and it’s a huge burden on these businesses. They don’t just stand in line, board, and fly, like the rest of us. |
Exactly. This was a tacky, attention-seeking, classless stunt, obviously drummed up to distract from their alleged pedophile uncle. |
No, you are mistaken. They're not like the POTUS. They go to stores, fly on regular planes. The airline changed their normal operations, for reasons unrelated to security or protocol. It had to do with the paint on the plane. |
You are naive if you do not think all this hullabaloo was carefully coordinated with the airline. |
You're blaming Kate for "poor optics" and throwing shade because the airline swapped a plane. That's ridic. The royals do fly commercial, as well as on chartered flights. All of them, all but the queen. https://www.popsugar.com/celebrity/Does-Royal-Family-Ever-Fly-Commercial-46521901 |

It was obviously a tacky, attention-grabbing thing to do the week their SIL is getting exorciated by the press for flying private. It obviously was a way to simultaneously be nasty to their SIL and try to distract from the real horror of their probable pedophile uncle.
If you think that kind of behavior is "classy," well, we have different definitions of classy. |
The trip was arranged months in advance. Have you ever bought plane tickets? |
Yes, and I have managed to cancel them too, when family matters took priority. Kate and Will's behavior was boorish. |
Not according to the airline- they were notified on Wednesday night, per the article. |
Ugh. So tasteless. |
Lol I can see how you interpreted that. |
She doesn’t appear close to her mom at all, actually. They spend Christmas’s apart (even from before she met Harry) and all her insta pics were gushing over her relationship with her “daddy”. It’s weird though that she was the only family member MM invited to her wedding. Like what about her uncle that gave her that job? No cousins? There’s just something off about this.... |
Still stuck on the wedding? Her mother was not her only relative there. They just didn't publicize it. The way the press foams at the mouth about anything Meghan related from nail polish color to throwing a tantrum because her baby's godparents were publicized, it was smart to not run to the tabloids waving their invitations. An eagle-eye wedding watcher on twitter spotted Doria's stepmother Ava Burrows (her father's much younger 2nd wife) and her son/ Doria's half brother Alvin entering at 1:00:58. Allegedly her cousins may have been there as well they just didn't tell the press about it. |
