Unhealthy relationship with dog...... say something?

lol

Dogs are great, and I say good for her. After having kids they are a TON less trouble. You can have both and value both. Honestly, my dog is better than most people and more interesting. My spouse and I comment about that all the time.

OP let it go, maybe offer to help her or ask her to bring her fur baby along.

2. You are judging her.
3. Don't say anything unless you want an argument.

+1

I don't get the "my dog is my kid" thing - because until and unless you have children, there is absolutely no comparison, either way. If you want to go on vacation, all you have to do is put a dog in a cage when and if you please. Not so children, obviously. So yah, no comparison and y'all sound nuts.

You sound like a hick.

Omg...pp is the one that needs to be in a cage.

This will never change.

ZOMG, sorry that this happened while you were trying on wedding dresses.

Apparently, OP's sister did because it was her own idea.

big time

I sense she's a little jealous. And yes maybe these are excuses to get out of events she isn't all that crazy about.

It's the same with people that over worry about their kids. I would let it go.

Sounds like I need to get a dog so I can get out of my family's stuff. I am more than happy just to be with kids and do adventures with them. Family gatherings are not really fun in my opinion.

Giving up quality time like going fishing with my kids so I can hang out with drunk relatives is not my cup of tea.
