Per their engagement interview, they broke up twice after college because he couldn’t commit (he said they were too young and had to spread their horizons or some such). According to the tabloids, they were on/off all through college before that for the same reason.

He's seemed bore/checked out for the better part of a decade. I don't know if it's true or not, but it wouldn't be surprising. That her primary role in life has been waiting for him to come around and pick her and then being a professional royal wife, combined with her appearing to have the personality of a doornail? Yeah, pretty boring. I can totally see Will heading into mid life crisis territory and mixing it up with someone energetic and exciting.

Personally think the other woman is cute enough but agree with the PPs, affairs are usually (rarely?) about wanting someone more attractive. It's about the new and about how that person makes you feel.

Will chose wisely: a wife who isn't likely to stray. A wife from a happy family. A wife who will prioritize being a mom.

There’s a forum called Royal Dish and you can get a lot of the background there. Will has absolutely cheated on Kate for years. Probably with his ex Jecca Craig, in addition to others. Check out the thread “William the Not So Charming”. Also, the British Royals aggressively control the press on this kind of stuff—a lot of pics and articles on his bad behavior are later deleted (presumably bc the Royals asked for them to be deleted).

For some reason I thought that was going to be an authoritative website! Not sure what I was thinking - it's like DCUM but especially for obsessive royal watchers, most of whom seem to live outside the UK and definitely don't have any special insights into anything. What a weird world we live in.

What do you mean he has way too much at stake to risk it. Risk what? His family clearly doesn't care about extra-marital affairs. It's not like the family fortune would disappear in he got in someone else's door.
