Stop complaining about the way patents are raising kids today versus twenty years ago

So your parents had your brother very late in life? Your friends in their 30s, how old are their parents now? BTW, I have Gen Z kids, guess what? Good kids, I can see living on their own will be a problem. I hope I am wrong.

My mom was 30 and my dad was 35 when they had my brother. That doesn't seem very old for an educated professional. And they are both solidly Boomers.

My friends in their 30s have parents that are in their late 50s early 60s so late Boomers but still Boomers.

So what year was your brother born?

People in their late fifties and early sixties are not Baby Boomers, despite what you might have read. That cohort has very little in common with the Baby Boomers and, in fact, encountered very different circumstances in their growing up years. They began their adult years during one of the worst recessions ever with very high unemployment rates in the 9-10% range and mortgage rates in the 12-14% range. Don’t confuse that age group with the Boomers.

They are still Boomers. You don't get to say they are not just because you personally find the designation too broad.
