We will complain about you and your parenting style compared the past. Deal with it (whithout running off to your "safe space").

You millenials are the most self-absorbed, narcissistic, infantile generation ever. Your so immature, they now have offer remedial classes to adult millenials just to learn how to "adult!"

Pathetic. I can only imagine what confused little brats you must be raising.

But who raised that adult? Why weren’t they taught how to assimilate to the real world as they grew? Or do you not believe the way you raise your kids has anything to do with their success as an adult?

Or the fact that millennial came into a crappy job market and housing market because the generations before us were greedy and we’re now suffering for your mistakes?

Oh no, you'e not allowed to complain about having graduated into the worst economy since the Great Depression, or about having massive student debt that Baby Boomers didn't have. That makes you narcissistic.

Hey, Baby Boomer PP: Did you ever think about the fact that your American Dream was, for a lot of people in your generation, funded by the GI Bill (which paid for college and a house for tons of baby boomers)? You didn't have student debt on NEARLY the level we have. The job market was significantly better in the 60s and 70s than it was when most of us graduated from college.

You call it complaining and say "we did it ourselves, so why can't you?" Except most of you DIDN'T do it yourself. You got huge help from government programs and a great economy.

The GI Bill and VA loans still exist. Join the military, serve your country. You'll also get a pension.

Okay, I did just that and served two years in a war zone trying not to get my a$$ blown up. But, the GI Bill that I got was a pittance compared to what the boomers got, and I could only afford a third rate night school, AND had to pay additional funds out of pocket bc the GI Bill was so inadequate.

I find it funny when millennial blame the boomers on all the political decisions of their time. Like they had much of a say. Guess what millennial, your kids are going to blame you for trump. He is your president, historically, whether you voted for him or not. It will be amusing to revisit this conversation in twenty years.

Ha ha ha! Yes, exactly.

If Millennials cant "adult" and don't have certain life skills...its because no Boomer taught them these skills. Boomers put way too much focus on test scores and academics in the school systems and then neglected to teach their own kids the kinds of things they had Home Ec to learn.

Or did you conveniently forget that you had to be taught how to make a budget and change a tire? You must have sprung fully -formed, in battle armour, from your father's head like Athena.

What kills me is how many people just love to be a stereotype. No critical thinking, no sense of history, no original thought.

Every generation thinks the next one is f*cked and will ruin society.. It's the way of the world. some of you think about the upcoming generation, and our parents definitely thought of it about us. And yet, humanity keeps on progressing.

Time for some Socrates:

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room."

There's a joke from a comedian that I'm paraphrasing...

'You Boomers complaining we got too many participation trophies BUT YOU WERE THE ONES IN CHARGE OF THE TROPHIES'

If Millennials are a certain way, Boomer parents need to look no further than at themselves. But that's never been their strong point now is it?

A bit more prosaic perhaps but: “Every generation blames the one before.” Mike and the Mechanics

You are not special. Stop blaming other people for your lives.

And the baby boomers were born to the people who benefited most from the GI bill: the Greatest Generation. Take a look at the chaos they had to deal with and get back to me with your whining.

Can someone tell this to my FIL? All of his friends' adult kids are a mess, but his aren't. His daughter is divorced... failure in his eyes, and he is non stop talking about how well he raised his kids(my DH included) to me. All the time, any phone call. He is also a misogynist, puts down all the granddaughters, all the time. Don't know what millennials have to do with it, if I am raising my kids wrong... I am gen X if we are reminiscing about raising kids 20 years ago. Hence the talk is about gen X and Baby-boomers, not Millennials.

Again.... Boomers are generally not raising much of Millennials, can't you count?

They raised some of us. My parents were born in 1955 and I was born in 1986. Boomer/Millennial combo.

What??? Millennials were born 1980-2000. Boomers were 1945-1965. Dont most people have children between the ages of 25-35? Who do you think were raising them? I'm a GenXer who was 5 in 1980 so it sure as heck wasnt us.

Gen X is considered by Strauss and Howe to fall between 1961 and 1981. Gen X are raising part of Millennials and part of Gen Y. If you were born in 1975, then your kids are Gen Y, likely to be considered way worse than Millennials. You are not winning with your argument. I am gen X and I am raising Gen Y, most of older Gen X were raising Millennials. People born in 60s were raising Millennials....Very few Baby Boomers are raising Millennials.

The last year for boomers to be born is 1955. Baby Boomers were born in the years directly following WWII and were themselves subject to the draft during the Vietnam war. The draft ended in 1973; so anyone born after 1955 is not a Boomer.

People born in the late 50s and early 60s don't really have a generational "name." When this group was growing up, they were never considered as part of the Baby Boomers: the Baby Boomers were their older siblings.

Every single Milennial I know as raised by BOOMERS. All my cousins, my little brother, my friends who are in their 30s.

And don't you dare insult my children.
