Hillary Clinton: Bill's affair with Monica wasn't an abuse of power because 'she was an adult'

Hillary’s action at the time make the question fair.

Hilary was never a feminist. She always just gave lip service to the cause as long as it served her interest.

Hello. Hillary DEFENDED her RAPIST husband and STAYED married to the criminal.

Now, THAT'S gross.

So the woman is responsible for the man’s actions? I bet you blame rape victims for having a beer at a party too.

DP

To the point she enables yes. In her case though I hold her a great deal more responsible for her words and actions toward those on the other side of this issue.

Exactly.

Hillary has no total confidence.

Let’s show her we support her in 2020!

Warren is a pretender.

Can grown women age 18-39 *ever* not be under the thumb of “power”? Because a lot of my girlfriends going back to undergrad *eagerly* and aggressively pursued their bosses for the thrill, for career benefits, and/or because of attraction.

You should find some better girlfriends.

Or maybe you should stop considering women to always be the victims. Adult women are perfectly capable of choosing consensual sexual partners, whether that person is their supervisor or not.

Or maybe you should be more familiar with harassment laws. The issue is not what your girlfriends are capable of choosing. Sexual harassment in the workplace has an OBJECTIVE and subjective element. Even if your friends subjectively thought it was ok to sleep with the boss, objectively, it could be viewed as a power imbalance and harassment (to you or to others, depending on the facts). It is also a huge liability to any company. Further, just b/c your friends are ok with the relationship at one point, doesn't mean that wouldn't change. It happens. And not always for the better.

So, it's not about being victims. It's about liability. It's about keeping sex out of the office lace.

Where do you work that nobody dates each other or execs aren't married to current or former staff? Carly Fiorina married her boss at AT&T. It's pretty natural to be attracted to people you're around so much. Very common for Google and Apple employees to marry. Just as it is for law and medical students who spend 3-4 years together.

Without the Russians, she'll win this time.

Bill had affairs. We get it. We know. Hillary did not have nice things to say about those women. Why would she? They slept with her husband. I wouldn’t have nice things to say either. I just heard the Ninja Warrior guy on Megan Kelly say this is victim blaming. No. They weren’t victims. They were sleeping with a married man. We know that Bill has no moral high ground to stand on after all that. WE KNOW! If given the chance, I wouldn’t have voted for him after that. The dems use him sparingly on the campaign trail because of that. Ever wonder why this successful two term president who also happens to be a phenomenal speaker is rarely utilized on the campaign trail? Even his wife’s? Obviously, an affair is a marrital issue. They seem to have worked it out. It’s over. Republicans need to get over it.

Trump, Kavanaugh, Moore, and countless other Rs are accused of SEXUAL ASSAULT! Not the same as consensual affairs. Trump blatantly admiited to assaulting married women and Rs don’t care! Yet, they simultaneously clutch their pearls over Clintons affairs decades ago! Yes, Trump also had consensual affairs. Nobody is shocked. His own wife said she’s not concerned about it. It’s the cover up that will eventually bring him down. Just like it was Clinton’s cover up that caused the Rs to impeach him but they could care less about Trumps.

The hypocrisy is unbelievable, and the more you guys bring up Bill’s affairs, the more your hypocrisy stands out.

Agree on affairs but there is also the rape allegation against Bill Clinton. There were also many more claims of unwanted sexual contact from Bill Clinton. There are also allegations that Hilary worked to discredit these women and keep them quiet. Hypocrisy is on all sides.

I'm blown away by the hypocrisy of the various women's movements remaining silent.

Why can't Bill and Hillary ride off into the sunset? Enough.

In 1998, society was sensible about this issue. In 2018, society has lost it's damn mind.

Are you out of your mind? At least three women accused Clinton of sexual assault. One of actual forcible rape.

Were those accusations investigated? Really investigated, not just a sham?
