The age of consent for sex in Wash., DC is 16 so she was well beyond 16. Even if itvwas 22, she was an adult who could legally enter into binding contracts.

Should Trump have had affairs with women a fraction of his age? As long as they were above age of consent, it was legal.

The real question should be why are we still putting the burden on the wife to defend/or not defend her husband's affair? It's gross. I'm all for reporters asking Bill about it, like Craig Melvin did a few months ago, but Hillary didn't have the affair.

Or maybe you should stop considering women to always be the victims. Adult women are perfectly capable of choosing consensual sexual partners, whether that person is their supervisor or not.

Or maybe you should be more familiar with harassment laws. The issue is not what your girlfriends are capable of choosing. Sexual harassment in the workplace has an OBJECTIVE and subjective element. Even if your friends subjectively thought it was ok to sleep with the boss, objectively, it could be viewed as a power imbalance and harassment (to you or to others, depending on the facts). It is also a huge liability to any company. Further, just b/c your friends are ok with the relationship at one point, doesn't mean that wouldn't change. It happens. And not always for the better.

So, it's not about being victims. It's about liability. It's about keeping sex out of the office lace.

To the point she enables yes. In her case though I hold her a great deal more responsible for her words and actions toward those on the other side of this issue.
