Her moms hat and suit was on point, great color, but her hair the braids! Her hair was not classy. Oh my why didn't someone style her hair or throw a wig on it????

Her braids looked great. Braids can be classy. Serena’s long braids were classy too.

Middle-aged white woman here. I love that Black women are embracing their natural hair. Ridiculous to suggest anyone wear wigs instead. Meghan’s mom looked gorgeous.

Though my initial reaction as seeing Serena was to think about how those very long braids could get in her way on the tennis court. She does look great, however.

They are called freckles. Her childhood photos show those same age spots, as you like to call them.

This happens to everyone who has freckles. Everybody likes them and thinks they're cute when you're a kid, but you get to be over 35 or so and everyone starts referring to the very same marks on your face and body as age spots. It's crazy!

Another biracial black woman with freckles here. I used to dislike them, but I’ve grown to accept them. I get ‘em from my (black) mama.

Beautiful!

Hello, fashion is amazing and fun. Formalwear and wedding dresses are the pinnacle of fun.

This. Why do people like PPP feel the need to even click on a thread if they have no interest in the topic?

I’m not sure where the line is but some of the posters sound like they are obsessed with minutiae. I thought that’s what the poster meant. -the level of details sometimes seems silly.

Do we get to see the evening dress? Can’t remember if there were pictures of Kate’s evening dress.

Her hair is loced, not braided.

She looked beautiful and elegant, and unapologetically African American. Doria!

Thank you for this. Braids, lol!

I am very happy Meghan choose a sleek, unadorned, style. It suits her perfectly. That's what I thought she should wear.

However! It does not seem to be properly fitted - perhaps she lost a little weight. The heavy fabric doesn't sit that well on her small frame - I would have gone with a lighter silk, perhaps weighing the ends. I am also not fond of the clash of different whites (shoes, dress and veil). I also wish she had not chosen such a delicate veil, or had a veil at all, because it is not in keeping with the dress.

But overall, a much better choice, for her, than anything with lace or ruffles.

I agree. The minimalist dress should have had a minimalist veil.

The minimalist dress should have been perfectly fitted. It wasn't. Loved the dress, wish it fit her perfectly like Kate's did (even though I didn't care for that dress).

Meghan's dress didn't fit well. It looked like a size too big.

I can imagine why she might have lost a few lbs. this week but being a royal and all couldn't they have someone sew her into the dress today to make it fit better??

I’m guessing the delay at the hotel was due to the ill fitting dress.

Same thing happened to me between final fitting and ceremony. Bodice was loose on wedding day.

I design wedding dresses. It happens.

I had to reconstruct one previously perfectly fit dress the night before the wedding due to the bride dropping at least 10 lbs.

Better that though than stress eating weight gain at the last minute.

Meghan looked gorgeous. If I had to compare, I would say Meghan looked better than Kate. But Kate was beautiful too, just not as stunning. More pretty than stunning.
