And so what is Trump doing about this convoy? What you wrote doesn't tell me how he is planning to stop them from coming in. Those directives have been in place for several months, and it hasn't stopped that convoy from making their way here. So, again, how exactly is he going to prevent them from crossing the border? What is his plan? Does he have a plan or will he just blame liberals?

The tweets worked, especially the one tying it to NAFTA.

The Mexican Government moved in today and is shutting it down. A few (pregnant women were mentioned) will get 30 day or 7 month visa's, the rest are being deported back out of the country, I wish we could move that fast.

We have a had a policy of accepting refugees since the late 1940s (in response to our failure to take in enough refugees during WW2). That policy never offered free housing. It allowed people to enter the country, To get housing, people worked and paid rent, or moved in with relatives, or were helped by non profit orgs.

Are you sure our government isn’t housing refugees and illegals? And that they get no benefits?

I can't vouch for every housing program or benefit program in the country. But that misses the point - those asserting rights for refugees to COME here may or MAY NOT believe they should get any govt benefits - the mere fact of wanting them admitted does not mean you need to be prepared to host them personally in your home.

If something has CHANGED in the country the non-profit organizers are seeking to emigrate to....they are using these poor people. I will not back down. This is an abuse and this non-profit isn’t helping them at all knowing conditions on the ground have changed. Then they should apply BEFORE they try to come here. They should hire non-profit immigration attorneys to file the paperwork for them. There are laws and they need to be followed. It would be amazing if they could come into the country and have jobs waiting for them. We need a strong workforce and we can’t break the backs of those who are in the lower middle class to welcome newcomers into the middle class.
