If it comes to it (which I hope it doesn't!), please don't do that. Elrich would be a disaster, but Ficker would be even worse. |
We are going with Bill Frick |
Is there anybody who doesn't favor universal pre-K? I'd like to see that nipped in the bud. WAY too expensive. |
There is no money for it. So don’t worry. |
BILL FRICK! Wants to end county-regulated liquor stores, and doesn't have anything crazy against him. Vote for him. |
Also opposed to free universal daycare. Would rather see more money for elementary schools and aides in grades K-3. |
So are we. |
A week away from the election and Frick, Blair or Elrich could all win. Would not mind Rose making a run in the last week. Levanthal and Berlinger have zero chance. Will be interesting to see how it pans out. |
There was a recent transportation survey of the candidates- I can’t seem to find it in my email but basically there were a bunch of questions asking the candidates whether they supported various transportation initiatives. Leventhal later claimed he answered some of the questions incorrectly and walked back his initial answers, supposedly after receiving blowback for them. Maybe it was a mistake but I don’t know, wouldn’t you check and doublecheck your answers before submittting? |
I wish we could rally behind an anti-Elrich pick. I like Rose but would support Frick or Blair if it kept Elrich out. |
Is there a chart or something published that does a good job comparing the candidates? |
Leave that is mean to staff. |
Leventhal. |
Does it really matter? Hasn’t Ike Leggett had a foot in the grave and been inept basically his entire tenure?
I would like a reasonable person who is not a career politician and tends liberal. Who would that be? |
No chance for Bill. Vote for Blair so Elrich (same old politics) , Berliner (Bif Lohman) or Leaventhal (manipulative irrational jerk) don’t end up in there. This has interviews with all of them. http://www.bethesdamagazine.com/Bethesda-Beat/2018/Q-A-With-County-Executive-Candidate-Bill-Frick/ |
