In other words, the Trump Campaign was not just receiving information from Stone, but rather was actively soliciting information. In other words, Stone and the Trump Campaign were working as accomplices. So if Stone gets tied to a crime related to the emails, then the Trump Campaign is tied too (as well as the "senior official" individually, and whoever directed him to contact Stone).
