Violent Femmes
Better Than Ezra Bad Company (Paul Rodgers is amazing)! |
| System of a Down at 9:30 club. |
|
Billy Joel of course
2nd place is U2. |
3rd is Jimmy Buffet. So much fun. |
|
Agree on Violent Femmes. Seen them twice many years apart and they are phenomenal.
Also, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Grateful Dead, Stones, Who, Bowie, I could go on. Not so great: Dylan (except when he was with Tom Petty) |
YEs, the 1987 show was better |
| Prince |
| Paul Simon's farewell tour concert last fall. Bittersweet. His voice wasn't as strong as in his younger years (but better than others on DCUM have complained about), but the orchestration was gorgeous and he was very conversant with the audience. |
Would have loved to see Bowie and Tom Petty. Agree Jimmy Buffet is a fun one. Styx were pretty good. So is Karen O, acoustic A-Ha will blow your mind |
| Prince, Boss (multiple times) Foo Fighters at a music festival, & Lenny Kravitz at the Anthem last year- AMAZING in a small venue!! |
David Bowie is horrible in concert. |
You did not miss anything with Bowie. He sounds terrible live and does not give a good show. |
|
Paul McCartney. 4 hours and the man was a beast of endurance. It was crazy.
Clapton was also amazing, as was Radiohead. I also went to an awesome Wolf Parade show during college. |
I’m jealous that you saw Clapton. Add that to my must see list. |
| Most of my recent favorites are indie bands most have never heard of. |
