Netflix just announced it's cancelled. Too bad, I thought it was just beginning to hit its stride in season 2.

Exactly what I was thinking! And what's bugging me is that both the couples seem to really love and *like* one another. Why would they be having an affair? They're each clearly smitten with their spouses. It just doesn't seem like something that would really happen.

I've laughed out loud at several moments, but not consistently.

This is actually the most realistic part. Happy people cheat all of the time. Cheating for many people has nothing to do with whether or not they are happy with their spouse/partner.

I have an ongoing quibble with the casting in terms of the actors' ages. Colbie Smulders and the actress who plays Marianne look (and probably are) 5-10 years younger than the actress who plays Sam (who is beautiful but looks like she's in her 40's). It's not a reflection on Nat Faxon-I think he's a good actor and that he does a great job with the part-it just doesn't make sense in terms of the character.

I thought the same every time there was a close up of him and I noticed his teeth. I notice his teeth a lot, it's so ugly. It would have been distracting even if he had been cast as a poor character, but cast as a trust fund kid? Simply POOR CASTING!!! It really bugs me.

Not only is Nick's teeth crooked, it's yellow.

Nothing about him says trust fund baby to me. I could believe Sam’s new boyfriend was a trust fund kid more easily than this guy

I do suspect that the people who love this show all went to boarding school and/or an Ivy or New England SLAC. The friend group dynamics just feel so deeply rooted in that particular culture. (Which makes sense, since the creators were boarding school kids and Ivy students too.)

Actually, ANY of the other friends would be more believable as a trust fund kid than him. I’ve never met even a moderately wealthy person with crooked teeth.

Huh!? Colbie looks 15 years younger than Sam. They wouldn’t even have been in college at the same time. It’s a weird casting choice given the title of the show.

Frankie and Grace was ground breaking and original … likable authentic characters …

Friends from College bills itself as the Big Chill for Generation X. College friends from Harvard (coukd that pick be any more cliche for lazy reference to casual privilege and success)

Am late to the party and trying to give the show a chance but the couple (Ethan and Sam) hiding an adulterous affair for 20 years without being caught is not credible -Their spouses (Lisa and Jon) also went to Harvard and would have figured it out after some time) . Is fun to see Fred Savage from the Wonder Years all grown up - but his character Max is also hard to believe so far.
