Friends from College - Netflix

One more thing - why don't KMK and Coby have their own place? She's a high-level lawyer, he's a famous author... are we really to believe they'd need to crash on a friend's sofa bed??

I wonder if it was meant to signify that they weren't ready to commit to a place.

I don't think it was that deep. It was a lame plot device to generate tension and "drama" like having the friend walk in on them during sex, mixing up the bag with the fertility shot, the bathroom with no soap but plenty of lotion, taking the rabbit to the vet.

I watched the full season. It's a good show if you are watching to just unwind for the day, maybe checking email or reading drum on the side. But yah, a lot of it did not make real sense. Especially so much cheating within the friend group (for so long).

I wanted to like it - the premise is interesting, the actors are great. But no. It was really whiny and juvenile and I hated all the cheating. Made no sense.

Exactly! They seemed like 5 years out of college not 20.

It's as though someone found an old script they wrote in college.

(Lastly, it's completely superficial, but the women are so much better looking than the men overall. Fred Savage can't act and is only there b/c he survived as a child actor and didn't OD. He's like watching a piece of cheese melt. Plus, note to Kevin Nealon-clone, fake tan and ultra white teeth bleaching only draws attention to your hideous ferret teeth. If there's a stupid script, I want to see more attractive people behaving badly.)

I find the women attractive, but all the men are so unappealing. Especially KMK - I don't find him attractive *at all*.

I finished watching the season and found it got funnier as the episodes went on. Another PP mentioned they thought Fred Savage was a bad actor, but I thought he was (surprisingly) hilarious. Most of my laugh out loud moments came from him and not KMK, who I find annoying as hell. His stupid voices and manic antics are SO grating.

I thought Cobie Smulders did a fantastic job. I wasn't familiar with her prior to this show, but she can really act - hilarious and also poignant.

I have so many questions about Sam. She must have been only 22 when her oldest daughter was born? Seems strange. Also, why didn't she and Ethan marry in the first place?

That was Sam's stepdaughter, it was explained a few times throughout

I thought the first episode was great. And then the rest was horrible.

Really? I must have missed that as I don't recall them mentioning it at all. And the girl looked *so* much like Sam, I thought it was great casting.

The woman having the affair looks about 10 years older than the rest of the friend group - same with her husband. They never explain this huge age difference.

Totally agree that the woman having the affair looks SO much older. There's a 7 year age difference in real life between her and Cobie Smulders, but it looks like a lot more than that.

BTW, if you like Cobie Smulders, she was in How I Met Your Mother.

The older actress is an obvious smoker or ex-smoker and is way too skinny, both of which ages you. As an actress she's probably lying about her age by a couple of years. Cobie has been too famous for too long to get away with that.

They did explain why her husband looks a lot older, he is. She is his 2nd wife
