Anyone watching this?
I really enjoy the acting, and the premise is interesting. But damnnnnn, it is heavy on the cheating storylines. |
Just watched the first episode. I thought it was decent. I like a lot of the actors on it, but yeah the cheating storyline just isn't gelling with me. Makes it hard to sympathize with the characters. |
saw the first episode this morning....and the last episode this afternoon ![]() |
I really like it too so far! I agree that it's a little heavy handed with the cheating, but it doesn't really bother me. |
I am on episode 7 of 8 ... it's addictive! |
I thought this was pretty bad. I had high hopes. The writing is kind of artless, and too on the nose. Not enough character development to pull off the big moments, particularly with the supporting characters. I did love the impeachment song that Fred Savage and KMK did. |
I didn't like it at first, got into it, but by the end was just over it. |
I read a couple scathing reviews (basically bad writing wasted on good actors) and decided it wouldn't be worth trying. But most of you seem to think otherwise. |
I watched the first two episodes and just couldn't get attached to any of the characters. I too had high hopes! But life is too short for bad Netflix. |
It's bad writing. It's also not believable ... doesn't look or feel like NYC and if you've been through IVF, it's sort of madening to watch them butcher that process. But, somehow it's watchable (if you have a laptop open and are also doing other things). It just worries me that what used to be 30 something is now 40 something. We're definitely having trouble growing up, as a culture. |
Parts of it were okay, but Keegan Michael key needs to get some new material. There's no way that so many smashed windows wouldn't land the characters in jail.
Eye roll moment with cobie crawling into the vat and the winery and him saying, "just give us a minute..." and the guy just walks away. Also, the New York actress living in a huge beautiful, apartment doing random community theatre doesn't have a trust fund too? |
The Asian character feels like a throwaway. She doesn't add anything. |
Also can Greg Germann play any other character? |
+1 Exactly what I was thinking! And what's bugging me is that both the couples seem to really love and *like* one another. Why would they be having an affair? They're each clearly smitten with their spouses. It just doesn't seem like something that would really happen. I've laughed out loud at several moments, but not consistently. |
+1 She's also really annoying. |
