| Thanks! I am looking at the Falls Rd Potomac location. Anyone have experience? |
|
I bought a class donated by the company at a fundraiser at my son's school and we opted to use it for the falls road park location.
It could not be more convenient for us and his friends. I like it because it is a small class and the instructor makes effort to get the kids involved. Overall, we're enjoying. |
| Thanks! I will probably sign up for the summer with kids pro at the falls rd location and see how it goes. He is only 2 and I think if we are not happy there will be different options ocne he turns 3 |

I had a very mixed experience with Kids Pro Soccer. Although my child enjoyed it, I won't sign up again. First, you should read the fine print on the website. They reserve the right to change the class TIME and COACH whenever they want. So the class I signed up for was unilaterally changed to start at 9:30 rather than 10am. They did let me switch to another class, but my child had to get used to another coach...which leads me to the second issue. They move coaches around all the time. So don't get too attached to anyone. They also combine classes together if there's a small number, so your 2 year old could be with 5 year olds. Not a big deal in general, except for a class setting, the needs are very different.
The biggest scam, in my book, is that they say they will only make up TWO classes, and after that, they won't make up any more classes. Bizzarely, this means that if you start at week 1, and there are KNOWN HOLIDAYS during that period, these count as "cancelled classes." For example, during the class session I took, they cancelled the first class for Mother's Day and the second class for Memorial Day... then, there was another missed session for rain, but because there were already two "missed" classes, they would not make it up. I would stay far away. |
| Thanks. I would definitely not want my 2 yr old with 5s. I guess I can call them and find out how many are in the class before I sign up (or at least try) |
|
Our class had two classes added as promissed. I know that there was a Memorial Day weekend that was off but that was counted in the dates already.
We had the same coach (Coach Casey who btwy was fantastic!) at all classes but once when she was out of town. It was actually a nice change and we could have experience with other coaches that we may have in the future. In my neighborhood, we are in Georgetown, we love kidspro. You should maybe try for another class or location. |
PP here--our class had 2 age groups running at the same time with two coaches. I have 2 and almost 6 year olds. We have done for the second year and they were never mixed, we did have to change location one to accommodate my two boys. |
| Guys don't do it. This group is so unprofessional! They cancel classes all the time, change timings without notice, etc. We had a terrible experience and wouldn't recommend it. |
| Thanks everyone for the comments. The reason I was looking at Kids pro is because they had 2 year old classes and a location good for me (Bethesda-Potomac area). Does anyone know other groups that I could look. I can do weekends and evenings but not mornings. |

We are in the 2 year old class on saturdays at falls rd at 9am at the moment! We have a wondeful coach Joseph. i wonder if you can stop and check it out? We (myself and a few friends) have not experienced any of the above, but this is our first class we registered for...
Are you thinking of this summer? I am planning to register again but probably in the fall. |
| Yes, I am planning to sign up for the Saturday 9am class at falls rd. I will try to come by this Saturday then. my son is also quite shy so it will be good for us to see the class in action. I am thinking for the summer and depending on how it goes in the fall. Thanks so much |
PP here. Yes, we thought Joseph was a great coach...until 4 classes in, he announced that he was leaving to teach a different class. |
| I can't believe they can't keep one coach - after all, it's a 6 week class!! but it seems that their issues are more in management rather than the quality of the class and the coaches. |
Oh, wow, we had Coach Joseph (kids call him Joe) at the class last year in the spring and fall at Norwood park. He is really good with the kids.Ask for classes that he teaches. We were lucky to have him as the instructor for the two class we participated in. |
And again, this is the key. We really liked Coach Joseph too, and our child really responded to him. very disappointed when he was transferred to a different class. Anyway, when I signed up I read all the reviews and figured "oh, nothing will happen to me." Well...just be forewarned when you sign up!!! |
