| JD is really growing on me. He reminds me a lot of the guys I grew up with in the South. Seems like a decent guy, loves his wife and works hard. Craig should take notes. |
I'm the PP, and YES I think you're right on JD's motives. I also agree with another PP's point that it is good for brand exposure for JD. |

And what was up with Naomi's reaction after the burbon tasting? She CRIED? Because Craig isn't going to run a burbon company?
How clueless are these people? |
I interpreted Naomi's reaction a little differently....I sort of thought she realized he's been lying to her and you could see her watching him during the event and it looked like she was appalled by his behavior. |
No no, it seemed to me like given the way Craig had presented things to her both before and then in explaining what happened that night that she felt frustrated on his behalf like JD had inexplicably pulled one over on him. She seemed confused not in a "but this is what you said" way but in a "why would JD do that to you?" way. Craig really portrayed it as if JD had told him he could do bourbon and suddenly reneged, not that he misjudged how big a role he would have in the bourbon side. Loved the interstitial of Craig saying "I know I haven't spent 15 years in this industry like Danni but I'm fucking smart" cut in with him asking Danni what is the difference between bourbon and whiskey and rye. |
I agree, I think he felt he was misled. I think it was probably presented in a way like "yeah, come work with me, invest and be a part of my company" type of deal (to get the brand on TV) and now it's become more "you're just my assistant" and Craig feels slapped down. Danni asked JD if he had an honest conversation with Craig and he said no. Bait and switch. |
| This thread is supporting what I have long said - that Danni is interesting and should be a part of the main cast instead of the loser girls like Jenna (from Season 1) and Landon!! |
I appreciate Danni because she had a great career she was successful at and clearly supported herself and unlike Kathryn saw straight through Thomas' BS and laughed in his face when he suggested they date. She has to feel so damned smart every time she sees the situation Kathryn ended up in with Thomas. |
| Did anyone watch last night? Two things: 1) cant decide how I feel about Craig taking Katherine at her word re: her relationship with Whitney, but I LOVED watching him cook dinner for everyone and watching him confront Whitney! That was priceless. Craig should give up his pretty boy lawyer/hotelier dreams and go work in a kitchen. Seems like he at least has some talent there. 2) Thomas' behavior in Asheville was so off-the-charts disgusting, there are no words. Seriously, you 50+ year old man whore? You're seriously going to flirt with teenagers on the street and then blather drunkenly over some poor woman? Ugh!!!!! |
Agreed on both counts. Sadly I missed the first two seasons so I don't know the history with Whitney, Craig, etc. So based on this season alone, I can't get a read on Whitney other than I'm not a huge fan. |
Pretty sure PP did this intentionally and therefore PP is awesome. |
Why is Craig so hardcore on Katherine's side (I can't remember)? In the end of Season 1 he was the one calling her out at the dinner party. Is he just sentimental because they were together last year on the beach trip where she went psycho on Whitney? |
I think he sees a little of himself in her. He knows he could easily be booted out of the group and did feel he was poorly treated at the end of the last season. Another poster nailed it about Craig being more of a friend of the group but not really part of the group. Also, Craig & Katherine are younger than most of the others. |
| Craig's a striving climber just like Kathryn, that's why he's on her side. He sees how easy it is to be cut out and it spooks him. Kathryn at least has being from Charleston and the Calhoun lineage on her side. Craig's just a dude from Delaware with no cachet. |
| Cameron is SO pretty!!!! She looks like a Barbie doll. |
