Southern Charm

+1. RHBH really jumped the shark this season. I love that Southern Charm has a ton of drama, but they still manage to keep the show fairly light hearted and funny. Real Housewives should take note.

They both openly use the children as pawns against one another and have no shame about it and it's depressing. There's nothing even trashy-funny about a pregnant woman walking into a party not knowing if the man who impregnated her again will speak to her.

I like Cameran but girlfriend can lose me acting like she's on a high horse. She was on The Real World making out with roommates on camera at 19. Yeah it was 19 but it's proof she wasn't terribly above all this when she was just a bit younger than Kathryn is now. And because she shows nothing about her real life, she gets to sit in judgment of everyone else and have none heaped on her. Doesn't seem fair.

Craig making sure to lock down his rich girlfriend is pretty LOL.

Shep's never gonna grow up fratboy persona is no longer working. He passed the age at which it was still charming and now he just looks like a sad loser, as opposed to a fancy free cad. Same with Thomas. He was a gadfly in season 1 who was still living like a youngun but now he's got a baby mama and two kids and he's still getting black eyes at bars. Not cute anymore.

I think Danni was always that thin. She's like a colt. She's dating a really nice seeming guy she features a lot on her IG.

So much less Whitney which seems like it should be a good thing except I do appreciate his witty asides. His vocabulary and literary references are A+ and made the show seem a bit more refined.

NO way, Dannie is WAY thinner this season. It's kind of painful to look at her now becuase she obviously seems to have a problem. Poor thing. She was beautiful in previous seasons.

I love, love Southern Charm. Perhaps because I'm southern and have connections to South Carolina.

Kathryn is unbelievable and just so tacky. Thomas is not much better but it is beyond disgusting that Kathryn thinks her illegitimate children with Thomas entitle her to an upper middle class lifestyle funded by him forever. Yes, he should support those children but no, she doesn't get to have a beautiful house and expensive bags and clothes without working.

I disgareee with some of the PPs on Cameran. I think she's pretty honest about who she is. In the dinner party at her house episode, Shep made a crack about her being from a small town and it not really leaving her. She doesn't really pretend otherwise. She's said explicitly that she was thrilled to be included in Patricia's world and I don't think she's scheming to be there or anything. I think she genuinely enjoys Patricia and vice versa. I freaking love Patricia. Wouldn't you want to be invited to her parties and borrow her butler if you could?

And Shep, oh Shep. I agree that his schtick is tiring but I can't help myself from finding him adorable. He really can be so funny. And if I were about 21, I would probably hook up with him and then regret it. I hate that he won't settle down! His poor parents must be mortified. All that charm and good looks and intelligence and good manners to waste.

I also kind of disagree with PPs on Landon. I feel for her. I think she's struggling and not quite she who she is. She was raised to expect that she would be taken care of and clearly is at a loss about how to take care of herself. But she's trying and I kind of find it admirable.

One of the blonde girls. (There are several.) She's been there since season one, and I've always thought she should be one of the featured regular cast instead of Landon or that Jenna girl.

She dated Shep back in the first season or maybe even before the show started? Blonde, tan, tall. She's a minor player but has been in all the seasons, I think. Thomas may have been interested in her at one point (though that applies to any woman that has appeared on the show, I think).

I enjoy the Kathryn subplot because you know she got pregnant thinking "meal ticket for liiiiife." And wants to live in a mansion but Thomas is, smartly, having none of that so he won't set a precedent she can sue him in court for. Smart financial decision.

Subplot? There would be no plot at all without Kathryn and Thomas.

I agree with all of this.

To add, Kathryn basically admitted that she expected TRav to fund her with her "He promised I would never want for anything" speech and then playing poor single mom. She did this to herself. One kid...okay, mistake. But two with him? Jokes on her. Also, why hasn't she gone after him for child support exactly? Is it because she knows she'll have to give him steady visitation as he suspects?

Yes, this. Cameran is my favorite on any reality show. Her honesty is refreshing and disarming. I agree with Shep's assessment of her, she doesn't try to put on airs.

Kathryn is a mess, but she's my favorite to watch. She is so young, after all, and I think I was probably that immature at her age.

I can't stand Landon, though. Her little girl gigglegigglegiggleALLTHETIME is so annoying, and her stupid, squinchy face gestures would be cute on a...little girl...but are ridiculous on an adult woman. She is clearly quite stupid; that interchange between Landon and her dad was like watching a badly sun damaged five year old begging her daddy for a pony and a kitty and a new dolly all at once, as the dad stops just short of telling her that her expectations are unrealistic. I can't stand her.

Dani was skinny but not THAT skinny!

Again, I only watched episode one, so I am going off what I saw of her at the party and her legs are painful to look at. Poor thing. And remember, the camera ADDS 10 lbs.

I am glad we won't see as much of Whitney. I think he is completely pathetic.

Whitney invented the show. Really... he produced the pilot. He is the executive producer. I am fine with less Whitney but want more Patricia.

Landon is tragic. It was hard to watch the scene with her and her dad. I knew the minute they started that bit with her she was going to ask him for money and I knew he would say no. And when he said God takes care of kids and fools, ouch. Ouch.

Kathryn is ridiculous. Her behavior is awful. Her and TRav deserve each other. He looks like hell.

I miss Whitney and all of his snide comments.

Shep needs to grow up, but I think he's Peter Pan. Cameron is his Wendy.
