Isn't it obvious? Because this is a once a year sporting event that is watched by the entire family - including young kids. At the risk of sounding like a prude, I don't want to watch a sexually suggestive performance in that venue (and that's putting it mildly) and I sure as hell don't think it's appropriate for kids to see. There's a time and a place, and that was not the time or the place. Frankly, if you can't sing without hypersexualizing your performance, then you don't belong on the stage - any stage - least of all at the Superbowl.
I'm sorry, but did you not know she was going to perform? And did you not see her performance at that same venue only a few years ago? You knew exactly what to expect - since as others have pointed out, Queen Bey does seem to have a script - and
you had plenty of time to get the kids out of the room. Plus, she was incredibly covered up this time compared to last time.
