Lady Gaga at the Super Bowl

Why did that performance not belong at the Super Bowl?

Isn't it obvious? Because this is a once a year sporting event that is watched by the entire family - including young kids. At the risk of sounding like a prude, I don't want to watch a sexually suggestive performance in that venue (and that's putting it mildly) and I sure as hell don't think it's appropriate for kids to see. There's a time and a place, and that was not the time or the place. Frankly, if you can't sing without hypersexualizing your performance, then you don't belong on the stage - any stage - least of all at the Superbowl.

I'm sorry, but did you not know she was going to perform? And did you not see her performance at that same venue only a few years ago? You knew exactly what to expect - since as others have pointed out, Queen Bey does seem to have a script - and you had plenty of time to get the kids out of the room. Plus, she was incredibly covered up this time compared to last time.

I think this is part of the problem. Why should PP have to usher her kids out of the room for the Super Bowl halftime show?

I wouldn't know, because I had no issues with my kids watching the Super Bowl halftime show.

Where do you get that Beyonce's legs are big? Serious question. This is a SuperBowl pic:

IMO they are bigger than they should be if you are wearing that. Look how much slimmer the girls legs are behind her.

The lady on the left?!! She's incredibly thin. If that is your standard of beauty, God help you.

She's black. I'm guessing you're not. She has a black body type.

I wish white people didn't have such strict standards for what is thin and beautiful. Seriously you can be a little curvy and still look good. Beyonce proves that, and almost every other race besides Caucasian and Asian recognize that. There's much less pressure on black and Latino women to be rail thin.

I'm curvy, with a kicking bod, and no way in hell would I wear that - even if I could sing. Beyonce is an okay singer, but she is no Gaga. Beyonce is trying to sell her look, as well as her talent. Both are mediocre, and she is really pushing it to remain relevant. Not for long...

I think she looks thick, not fit. And definitely not "strong as hell" But she always has. Harder to photoshop live tv.

I'd love to see you dance like Beyonce and see how your wimpy leg muscles hold up with those moves - you'd quiver and collapse in 15 seconds, would be my guess. Seriously hon, you know nothing about legs and fitness. Go back to your carb and gluten counting.

I agree that Beyonce looked too chunky for her costume.

HOWEVER, she is clearly strong and has very good core and leg strength. This was evident when she saved herself from wiping out on her butt during her near fall.

Anyone who can stop on a dime in that squat position with backwards downwards motion happening, then pop right up from said squat deserves props for their strength.

If she has been on stage, she better have the talent to recover, or hang it up completely.

Who dress the woman? Jay Z?

She needs to get a real stylist - especially with "all that money".

+1 I agree, and I used to be similarly amazed at Tina Turner--in fact, I still am!

Please do not compare Tina to Beyonce.

I'd pay to see Cher and Tina. That's about it.

PP here. I'm still trying to break this down, about what annoys me so much. Beyonce has pretty eyes and cheekbones?
