She's very talented and has a beautiful voice but I was dumbfounded at how much work she had done on her face I literally almost didn't recognize her

She either had her nose done (if so, very well done, subtle) or, more likely, it was a heck of a contour job by her makeup artist. Could have been both. When she turned to the side you could see evidence of makeup contouring.

I think it was the makeup. She was at the Golden Globes a few weeks ago and looked like her normal self.

I was very impressed by her performance. I have never been a fan, but she has a very clear voice and wonderful tone.

Wouldn't a nose job negatively impact her tonal quality? Bet it is just make up.

Totally make up. We have a mutual friend (who happened to be on stage with her tonight-- go Alex!!) and saw her recently. She definitely does Botox but her face has t changed drastically. I have noticed that since doing American Horror Story her makeup has changed a lot.

I've always had a soft spot for Gaga. She is a true talent, and there's also something both intelligent and vulnerable about her. In a weird way it reminds me of Marilyn Monroe.

Yup, it's makeup, contouring, dye, and artist tricks. This is Lady Gaga we're talking about - the queen of weird and transformation. She doesn't strike me as the plastic surgery type - and is all about the "love yourself the way you are."

It's smoke and mirrors, not knives and blades.
